Wrong. The polls had Hillary winning even the EC. Did not happen.

Americans have consistently disapproved of Trump, with special elections showing huge Democratic gains, and historically, midterms benefit the party that is not in power in the White House.

To the extent that incumbency is a significant advantage, it's notable that 39 Republicans and only 18 Democrats are not running for re-election.

Gerrymandered districts generally favor Republicans, but with most forecasts predicting Democrats taking control (https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2018-midterm-election-forecast/house/?ex_cid=rrpromo) it's looking good.

I expect college-educated White suburban females to be a key swing demographic, as less-educated White males were in 2016.

The Senate will have to wait until 2020.

I agree, Natty. The Dems may get to 49 Senate seats with the two independents included, but I that is that.

It’s basically breaking down to the Republican Party representing Whites and the producer class.........and the Dems will be the party of lower class blacks/Hispanics and White professors/school teachers/government workers.......oh, and the LGBTXYZ crowd

Ding Ding Ding winner! And as the OP states their votes have been validated.. now moderate normal people better step up and show UP during the midterms or the now openly embracing far left socialist Democratic party will shut down our growth for two more years.

    Bring it on leftists

Hm... but the Democrat pundits tell us the polls, the odds, the historic trends... they can’t all be wrong?

After all, it was them Democrat pundits who predicted Trump will win with 95% certainly, right?

And the russkies, the collusion, the obstruction, the money laundering, the Stormy, the Mueller? How can anyone vote for the party of Sdonald Trump?

Poor, poor Democrats... they won’t know what is gonna hit them.

All you Trump base just refuse to get it.

Hillary was supposed to crush Trump in the PV: she did.

This election has no EV in it. Not one.

Trump grows weaker every day because of his stupendously stupid public commentary.

These elections are overwhelmingly GOP vs Dem with almost no real 3d parties to suck off votes.

It is a referendum on Trump. His party, in this economic environment, should be 8 to 10 points ahead in the generic ballot, not 6 to 8 behind, with 9 weeks to go.

Any wins the Trump base will crow about, any losses it will be the fault of a commie pinko socialist marxist fascist nazi Grouch Marx mediaenemyofthepeople plot. I think the Dems will end up with a 15 to 18 majority in the House and a 49 seat minority in the Senate. 2020 will be the mother of all elections as demographic changes heavily come into play.

Taxes are part of living in civilized countries.

Your version of fairness related to those taxes is not.

...women, younger Americans, urbanites, college-educated, etc.

With the Fox Poll showing Democrats +11 and Rasmussen showing Democrats only +7, there is a wide range from which to choose for some folks for control of Congress.

The Fox and Rasmussen difference can be interpreted as a sizable swatch of Trump base voters waffling.

part of the problem with wages is CEO's and top exec's still want the huge multi million dollar salaries they made during the 90's and instead of lowering their wages, they layed off and lowered their employees wages

Not from where I stand, no, quite the opposite I see. Growing Trump support is, scream into the sky Democrats again will. Mark my words you should.

You don’t say? Must have been Putin after all what’s with his vicious Facebook anti-Hillary campaign that swayed delicate Democrat hearts to vote for Trump?

Putin undoubtedly expected the cry baby to lose and to keep whining about the "fixed election" and the electoral college "disaster." His divisive sniveling and crapping on American values was what Putin was after to damage the US, and he'd get that win or lose.

    November is looking good!
