The number of prisoners in America is quite high - maybe two million today?
I understand these prisoners committed crimes.
That's different from two million people incarcerated for being Muslim in China,
or two million sent to Siberia to die because they were an ethnic minority during
    Stalin's brutal reign.

Not surprising. You get information about the USSR and Russia from Hollywood.

Can you read? Can you be aware of the information received?
Once again, especially for you - in the most "terrible" year of 1937 in the entire USSR (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajtktstan ... . There are only 14 republics that were part of the USSR) - 887,133 people. What two million are you talking about?
This is in the modern USA, in 2020 more than two million prisoners. Do you understand the difference?

I agree with this ..... but. The Soviet Union collapsed not because Communism is bad but because of (1) Stalinist corruption and (2) because when huge gusts of reform were finally in the wind it was too late because the population had succumbed (as you say) to "rabid" American "propaganda". They were unwilling to take any chances with the same-old same-old, no matter what promises of a brighter Sovjet Gorbatjov had in mind. And then there is Capitalism. Yes, it too is "gasping" and for the same reason: Corruption.

Both Sovjet-style Communism and American-style Capitalism have failed because they became Fascist states.

The USSR collapsed not because communism, the USSR collapsed because the country's top leadership, after Comrade Stalin, wanted to return to capitalism.
    Just two examples.
    1. Khrushchev abolished the "Dictatorship of the Proletariat". But Lenin also wrote that "the dictatorship of the proletariat is indispensable until the complete victory of communism. If the dictatorship of the proletariat is abolished before the onset of communism (without a class society), then the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie will instantly appear, the role of which in the Soviet country will be played by the bureaucracy."
And Lenin, as always, was 100% right.
    2. Khrushchev introduced the economic reforms of "Kosygin-Lieberman", where the production of a "product" was replaced by the production of a "merchandise."
That is, in a planned economy, a plan was established to produce not a specific amount of a particular product, but to produce merchandises in monetary terms. (Instead of producing, for example, 100 shirts, goods cost 1000 rubles)
Therefore, the heads of enterprises stopped producing cheap, but necessary products, and began to produce, perhaps unnecessary, but expensive products. For example, outdated and expensive machines, instead of fashionable and popular clothing. This led to a shortage.
Also, the reforms of "Kosygin-Lieberman" assumed the transition to self-sufficiency and the rate of profit, That is, they actually introduced surplus value - a 100% capitalist indicator ...
And in fact, the base in the USSR became capitalist in form, but the superstructure - socialist. And this, as expected, led to a conflict between the base and the superstructure.
A number of global mistakes and direct sabotage were committed, but I consider these two points to be the main ones in the destruction of the socialist structure of society.

Sorry, not two million, but six million
In most cases, their destinations were underpopulated remote areas (see Forced settlements in the Soviet Union).
This includes deportations to the Soviet Union of non-Soviet citizens from countries outside the USSR. It has been
estimated that, in their entirety, internal forced migrations affected at least 6 million people.[8][6][9][10] Of this total,
1.8 million kulaks were deported in 1930–31, 1.0 million peasants and ethnic minorities in 1932–39, whereas about
3.5 million ethnic minorities were further resettled during 1940–52.[10]

last one was They Shall Not Grow Old due to its AI reconstruction of old video.

    Either:
1). You are not expressing yourself very well ... or
    2). I don't understand you very well ... or
    3). You praise Stalin's leadership.

Of course I praise the Stalinist leadership. It is obvious. How can you not praise the leader of the country, who in a short historical time (almost an instant) from a feudal backward country, which was Russia before the Great October Revolution, made the second economy in the world, which controlled half of the world.
If in the Russian Empire 80% of the population was illiterate, then, thanks to the leadership of Stalin, the USSR was with a 100% literate population.
Kennedy said "We (the USA) lost the space race for the school desk" Meaning the best education in the USSR.
The standard of living of the population of the USSR during the years of Stalin's rule has increased by an order of magnitude. And all this despite many wars.
There is no such effective leadership as under Lenin and Stalin in the entire history of mankind.
GDP growth in the 1930s in the USSR was 36%. No country in the world in the entire history of mankind has had such economic growth before or since. (Japanese miracle maximum 15%, China - 14.7%)
And I will write right away that you would not write about the "terrible Gulag", the trillions shot by Stalin personally, and so on ..
In the entire USSR (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan ... and so on - only 14 republics) in the most "terrible" 1937, the number of prisoners was 887,133 people.
But as you know, everything is learned by comparison.
In the United States in 2020, in the 21st century, in peacetime, the number of prisoners is 2,094,000 (more than two million)
By the way, in USSR in 1930 unemployment was eliminated, the last labor exchange was closed. What happened in the United States at that time?

Several photos of the USSR, 30s.

Much of the world saw rapid growth and development in that time, and most countries managed it without 5-year plans and the "purges, expulsions, forced displacements, imprisonment in labor camps, manufactured famines, torture and good old-fashioned acts of mass murder and massacres (not to mention World War II)" by an "amoral psychopath and paranoid with a gangster’s mentality" -- who, I might add, has now been succeeded by another -- that left "between 20 and 60 million" dead.

Ahahaha :roflol::roflol::roflol:..... Are you referring to the science fiction writer Solzhenitsyn? All his libels have long been exposed.
Interestingly, you study astronomy from the Star Wars films, and the Middle Ages from the Lord of the Rings films?

I have been all over the Soviet Union during the Cold War and I feel nostalgic for it but I don't miss it.

Of course, it would not be funny if YOU were one of these minorities. And given that
the USSR was a huge land based empire there were inevitably going to be lots of
'minorities' within its expanding borders - all ripe for conversion, suppression, exile
or murder. The laughing figures speak to me of racism.

    I agree with everything except
The monetary system responsible is pure socialism. The endgame is communism and therefore capitalism must be blamed....but it's simply blowing smoke to disguise the fact that socialism is the problem and capitalism is the cure...return to a gold/bitcoin standard.

Denying the Stalinist terrors is akin to Holocaust denial.
If you have a problem with who Lenin and Stalin were as human beings
then you will need to invoke some other actor to account for the mass
murder, enforced famines and purges which blight 20th Century Russia.

In my opinion, in modern Russia it is worse than in the USSR.
On the one hand, there has been an increase in the possession of material products, but, on the other hand, there has been a loss of social guarantees and confidence in tomorrow.
For example, in the USSR there was 100% free medicine of any complexity. In the USSR, there was 100% free education equal for everyone, including higher education. In the USSR, anyone could get free housing. The prices for utility services were symbolic ..... And most importantly, all people were equal.
There is no such thing in presently. And the remnants of the conquest of socialism are gradually disappearing. Russia is now the same capitalist country as the United States.

    2.
In World War II, 27 million Russians died - there is no Russian Holocaust.
In World War II, 36 million Chinese died - there is no Chinese holocaust.
6 million Jews died - screams all over the media about the Jewish Holocaust.
Don't you think this is nonsense?

What story are you talking about? According to your link, the alleged "historian" lean on the fictional story of Solzhenitsyn. Are you an adequate person?
In the annotation to the story "The Gulag Archipelago" it is written - Fiction.
You understand the difference between fiction of a writer and documentary research? Do you study French history from the novel The Three Musketeers?
If you want to know about the number of prisoners in the Main Administration of the Camps during the Stalin era, read V.N. Zemskov. This is a Russian scientist who, in the 90s, researched archives about the so-called repressions.
Yeltsin set him the task of finding as much material as possible about Stalin's alleged crimes. Yeltsin needed an argument against socialism.
But Zemskov never found the trillions shot and tortured by the Bolsheviks. On the contrary, everything looked better than in other countries in the same historical period. At least the order and legality were much higher than in the USA or European countries at that time.
Today, Zemskov is the most authoritative researcher of this issue. He has been very deeply involved in this topic for several years.
But you cite Solzhenitsyn's fictional story as an argument ..... I don't even know what to call such an alleged "argument".

Only in the Jewish genocide were millions of people actually purposely killed after being transported to camps built for that express purpose. Mind, that happened in the others too but most of their murders took place as a sort of by-product rather than being the major purpose People were mainly starved and/or worked to death in Russia and China, though they did that with the Jews too and it can be argued that a quick death by gas is more "merciful" than the horror of starvation.

What I find nonsensical is this idea that there is some sort of calculus of mass murder that can say that what happened to the Jews is less appalling because "only" six million Jews were there. The Jews were this hardcore of atrocities that justified and helped all the rest along. How could the Gypsies complain when the Nazis killed "only" a half million of them to the Jews 6 or the Ukrainians 30? For god's sake stop acting as if a certain amount is death is ok because there weren't any more people there.

Is it difficult for you to understand the meaning of this comment? I am surprised.
The meaning of the commentary is that to declare a "Jewish Holocaust" and sprinkle ashes on your head just because Jews were killed, do not care about the deaths of people of other nations - this is the height of cynicism. That is, the very concept of "Holocaust" is immoral in its essence.
You shout at every corner about dead Jews, but you are silent about dead Russians, Chinese, British or Papuans. In fact, the very concept of "Holocaust" is Jewish racism.
(By the way, American blacks are now shouting about BLM, so you can remind them that Jews were ardent supporters of slavery.)
And one more example - the field marshal of aviation of Nazi Germany Erhard Milch, his father was a Jew. Due to the origin of Milch, he was refused admission to the naval school under the Kaiser, but the First World War opened the way for him to aviation. There he met the ace of the First World War and the future largest Nazi boss Hermann Goering.
In 1929, Milch became head of Lufthansa and provided planes for the leaders of the NSDAP free of charge. Later he went into the service of those whom he had previously supported. When the Gestapo tried to hint to Goering that a Jew is subordinate to him in the highest position, he replied: "In my headquarters, I myself will decide who is a Jew and who is not." After the war, Milch served nine years in prison as a war criminal.
    P \ S:
And of course there is no Gypsy Holocaust.
And further. In the USSR, all the heads of the Gulag camps were Jews. If necessary, I can provide a list by name.

Biden tells us it will take time to get things together and means it. If Trump were re-elected, He would tell us that getting things together will happen in a just like that. I say Trump is leading us to never-never-land.
