And sadly, to many people in the USA considering the 14,018,000 abortions from 1999-2016 and acceptable price for a pro-choice position.

Ironically, the number of children born out of wedlock has increased after the legalization of abortion. It is this promiscuity and the breakdown of the traditional family that has spawned the increase of dissatisfied, angry, unguided youth at the forefront of the criminal tsunami coursing thru our nation. But hey, let's just ignore all that difficult stuff and simply blame guns. Problem solved, yeah?

I'm sorry you do not like the fact your statements, claims, positions and arguments all rest on logical fallacies, but there's nothing I can do about that.

    More unsupportable nonsense.
You cannot soundly show your gun laws are responsible for your lower murder/crime/mass shooting rates.

Fact: Australia has disarmed its law abiding population.
Fact: Crime including gun crime has soared. (see NYT)

    Or read your own newspapers.

"The statistics released today show aggravated burglary offences jumped 40 per cent compared with the previous year with around 4200 recorded, although police stressed only 1 per cent were violent.

Robberies have climbed 25 per cent as offenders become increasingly brazen and willing to confront their victims."

    The ACTUAL number is 572,537.
360,433 of these people (62.9%) of these people chose to die
You only care about these people so far as you can use them to push your anti-gun agenda.

Yea, because your guns would have been very useful in dealing with these crimes listed in your link:
"and theft from cars rose 26 per cent with numberplates a prime target." :roflol:
"Transport regulation offences (up 43.3% from 487 to 698)"
"Justice procedures offences (up 51.6% from 9,158 to 13,883)"

And you also chose the state with the highest crime rate “Victoria has a problem with crime that no other state in Australia has,”

212,000 in 17 years killed by guns not by choice is terrible

For each of those 212,000, more than 7 firearms were used in self-defense.
Of course, you think that's terrible as well.

Why deny the obvious? Gun crime has soared after law abiding Australians were disarmed.

    "Gun crime soars

In this series, Fairfax Media looks at Melbourne’s gun problem and the new breed of criminals behind the escalating violence. The investigation has found:

There have been at least 99 shootings in the past 20 months – more than one incident a week since January 2015
Known criminals were caught with firearms 755 times last year, compared to 143 times in 2011"

"These are just a handful of the thousands of illicit guns fuelling a wave of violent crime in the world’s most liveable city.

    Young, dumb and armed
Despite Australia’s strict gun control regime, criminals are now better armed than at any time since then-Prime Minister John Howard introduced a nationwide firearm buyback scheme in response to the 1996 Port Arthur massacre."

When guns are outlawed only criminals will have guns.

And the criminals feel better too now that they can prey on the Australian people without fear.

Do those include suicides, police shooting or self defense? Are these murders, homicides, manslaughter? You've got a link to that figure? And if you don't think there's a difference, there is.

Far too many people enjoy using TOTAL gun deaths without removing the 60% from suicides, because it paints a far different picture. And frankly, if someone wants to kill themselves, they should have that right....as long as they don't take anyone else with them.

Australia has not got strict gun laws so that blows your argument out of the window.

Also, ironic that your link is nothing to do with guns! Just imagine if that armed robber actually had a gun I'm sure the outcome would have been seriously different:
"Investigators have been told a man entered the Forest Road milk bar armed with a knife and demanded goods and cash just after 9am on 24 September.

The man left empty handed and fled on foot in a northerly direction.

No one was injured during the incident.
    "

Did you not want to post the actual link you extracted your post from where it states "Shootings have become almost a weekly occurrence, with more than 125 people, mostly young men, wounded in the past five years."? If a major US city had that sort of statistic, one shooting per week, not one death per week, there would be no talk of removing the 2nd
