I know this is Trump's doing diverting military funds, you are just making excuses for his actions.

 

Does everyone remember the time when "they" said that the "wall" ( it's actually a fence) that can be cut or tunneled under or climbed over, was going to have all new sensor technology to stop all that? When is all this technology going to be installed?

 

A reason is not an excuse. Trump tried every possible way to fund the wall and said from the beginning that he would do this as a last resort if democrats kept obstructing which they did and then he did.

 

He said Mexico was going to pay for it, so he already had his funding.

 

Campaign rhetoric pre election is a far cry from actual governing. Once president he realized that was easier said than done and looked to traditional revenue sources every one of which were blocked by democrats seeking a political victory by stopping wall construction. Diverting defense funds was always on the table as a last resort and I'm much more comfortable with this than democrats usual act of cutting military spending to fund social programs. We face invasion on our southern border and using military funding to thwart that is a legitimate use of resources.

 

Nope, saying Mexico is going to pay for the wall and then not carry through is a far greater fib than Obama and ACA.

They will deploy it as soon as they work out how to stop people from nicking all that lovely unguarded electronics

 

And DoD has told him no.

 

No to twenty miles out of 450 miles and that's only because they are demanding a lower bid on that section. Fine with me and shows this is being financed with bang for the buck considerations

At this point, Trump has his supporters convinced that a 3-Inch High Picket Fence (made out of Discarded Popsicle Sticks) is Tantamount to The Great Wall of China.

So, of course, what remains of Trump's "Defenders" (who are exponentially over-represented at PF) will gladly go along.
