Socialists never take the side of the working class.

The working class generally does not want them

What "proof"? All you are giving are personal "one-liner statements" in a debate forum. (A method that the Rabid Right cannot escape, because to articulate a cogent argument would require "personal intelligence".)

Get a dictionary, look up the word "debate" - it'll help you lot ...

In one case, as you describe, either we have the same politics being rerun, and rerun and rerun (getting us nowhere) or otherwise we have new-ideas. One or the other, not both together. Given the present situation, maybe we should take a chance with some new-ideas*.

The country is stagnating politically and economically because it has made an historically collossal mistake. The Electoral College must be changed such that it reports ONLY the popular-vote state-by-state. Otherwise the US continues to be a dysfunctional democracy manipulated by BigMoney via the BoobTube to orientate voters. (Which is how Donald Dork won by concentrating on the those states weighing most in the Electoral-College vote!)

Which is stoopid to begin with - but given that Americans are the country on earth that watches MOST TELEVISION it is very clever electorily...

*Bernie and Hillary had one such idea that would (if implemented) change profoundly America. It was free post-secondary education. We are evolving from the Industrial Age into the Information Age. As a result, for people to find good-jobs they need a higher set of qualifications that only a post-secondary degree will allow them. At present 45% of high-schoolers DO NOT GO ON TO A POST-SECONDARY SCHOOLING. Largely because of prohibitively high-cost. ($10K per year average at a state-school!)

It seems you have no idea of what those two words (socialist or communist) mean. Besides, aside from North Korea, no such country exists today.

But that does not mean Class Struggle does not exist. And it most certainly does exist factually.

    Example (some facts):
*In America, the Census Bureau has created a Poverty Threshold line - that is, any family of (say) four individuals (two parents) that makes below $25K a year (that's $11.50 an hour) is living below the Poverty Threshold.
*In the US , the Minimum Wage is around $7.25 an hour in most of the country (where there is a Minimum Wage).
*So at present, those living below the Poverty Threshold are about 13% of the American population or about 45 million men, women and children. That is, a population larger than the states of California and Maryland combined.

How would you like to be one of them ... ?

    More one-liner nonsense.

Ever construct an argument that was longer than two sentences?

    Methinks not ...

PS: You don't even know what the word "socialist" means. It means a political theory that support "'socialism". And what might that be? Well, it was an economic theory that espoused that all the means of production should be owned and run by the government. So, pray tell, just what country on earth would be socialist under that definition nowadays? Huh?

What's the point of elections if turnout doesn't even break into double digits? She won approximately 5% of the electorate's votes.

Make it a fine to not vote in a national election. That'll work.

But for it really work, we need a National Identity Card employing the Social Security number.

Watch national-voting skyrocket! Moreover, put voting on a week-end when people are most available. But that is not necessary if we could devise a mechanism via Internet to vote. That is, one fetches a election ballot in pdf, votes, enters their Identity-Card code and submits the ballot. Which is authenticated before counting against the registered Identity-Card code on file.
