I'm so used to the democrats being completely worthless and elections being a waste of time that someone who's actually decent primarying the guy who was next in line to be the house minority leader is honestly a bit of a shock.

 

Apparently he pulled a Hillary and didn't even bother campaigning.

I heard he even skipped the debate with her.

 

He supported Hillary
While she supported Bernie.
That says something good about her that she steered clear of Hillary & Hillary's feminism.

This seat has been handed to the R's. The left is now doing what primarying the Tea Party candidates like Sharon Angle did to the R's a few years ago. The D's have not learned from history again and are now doomed to repeat it.

Did she advocate for the end to state and class (communist) or worker welfare and empowerment (socialist)? I doubt she's an anarchist if she's running for office so I'm going with socialist.

iirc, she said something like, 'this isn't a gender or race issue, its a class issue.' or something. If true, that sounds like communism to me (get rid of classes, make everyone financially equal).

But like I said, I cant find it now, so maybe Im mistaken.

'A class issue' and 'abolish class' aren't the same thing. Socialism (of which communism is a subset) in a non-socialist society is always going to involve class struggle becuase how else would it be implemented? Such rhetoric doesn't necessarily mean anything overly radical or even violent.

 

ICE prevents criminal illegal aliens from harming citizens of the US. Why are you favor of noncitizens into the US illegally who depress wages and take jobs from US citizens including black and Hispanic minorities ??

 

NOT. THEIR. JOB! ICE is just Customs with the ability to treat people like contraband. The Coast Guard stops a ship smuggling people into the country? ICE steps in. Border Patrol does the same with Coyotes? ICE steps in. Known criminals are found inside the US? ICE steps in. Illegal immigrants or folks with expired visas get swept up during other policing actions? The BORDER PATROL (or FBI depending on context) steps in. ICE rounding up citizens and green card holders, stopping REFUGEES at the border and going after folks with expired visas is outside their mandate. What ICE is doing would be like the CIA operating an intelligence op inside the US AS NORMAL PROCEDURE. ICE doesn't necessarily need to be disbanded but they DO need to be censored and forced to operate within their mandate.

 

We can thank the candidacy of Sanders. He can claim to have re-introduced and rebranded the 'socialist' label for a new generation of left wing voters. He proved that such candidates can win against even the best funded candidates and that is the first step to successfully gaining the support of wealthier left of center donors. I think this is healthy for both the party and the country because it introduces true left of center ideas to mainstream America. I like to see a broad scope of ideological views in Congress, and I like to see media forced to actually cover them.

The problem is that we allow 10 term congressmen. We won't make a dent in the corruption of the swamp until we have single term limits.

 

Thinking socialists tend to be good hearted people.

 

Socialists have been slow to recognize that the class that is the problem is the ruling political class, but they are catching on.
Many socialists voted for Trump.

 

She is a Big Government Rad. But the honest ones will accept alternatives to the failed bureaucratic approach to governance.
