It should come as no surprise that there were lots of racist americans who among others seriously didn't like jews.

Jews were second class citizens just like blacks throughout the land. Banned from hotels and restaurants - the whole nine yards.

So when Addie comes along and really goes to town on the jew hate, lots of americans responded positively.

 

An internment camp is not a concentration camp. Many Germans and Italians were interned by Great Britain. It had nothing to do with being Jewish at all.

Where do you come up with these nonsense interps.

 

My grandfather was interned as an enemy alien in England for a few months after he escaped from Germany in 1939/40.
It wasn't a concentration camp and it was strictly based on nationality. After some investigation he was released BECAUSE he was a persecuted jew and he rejoined the family in London.
