    No. It's "mixed" and a "republic". ;)

I think the clue is in the "desperately". True refugees and even economic migrants don't need a perfect destination for it to be worth the making the effort of trying to get there. Their current situation just needs to be significantly worse (which it often is). Also, migrants might not be very well informed on the intricacies of internal US politics before they arrive.

Dude, Herman Cain and Dr. Ben Carson had a very good chance to get selected, polling at some 30 % among the GOP voters.

But then the allegedly "anrti-racist" American "progressives" destroyed them.

Painting Dr. Carson as religious crackpot, just because he (a pious Adventist) once told “My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain". As if were a Egyptologist, rather than neurosurgeon.
How many bashers of him could explain, what neurosurgery is about, let alone separate the conjoined twins?

Herman Cain is an even worse story.
"Black man stalked two white women" - is it not a 150-years long white racist label?
Remember "The Birth of a Nation"!

But again, we have been not talking about Republicans or Democrats, but about an idea, that there is a State-backed white racism (and not just some white racist individuals) in the USA.
Resembling the State-backed AntiSemitism in Czechia and other East European countries before 1989.

In the Communist (and AntiSemitic) Czechia / Czechoslovakia there were no Jewish ministers either - except Vladimir Clementis, who was executed in 1952 after the AntiSemitic show trial.
In the post-Communist (and Jewish-friendly) Czechia the Jew Jan Fischer acted as Prime Minister and ran for President, although (unlike Obama) he was not elected.

Something about forgetting history. It seems to me, a little snippet of history bouncing around somewhere in my memories. The first came in 1964, Lyndon B Johnson’s tribute to John Kennedy. Another came four years later, a much more powerful Civil Rights Bill. Thus the Democratic Party developed a platform that was consistent with the spirit of the legislation. In the process they have taken a strict anti racist policy, expelling all of those who express racist and/or supremacist sentiments. The Democratic Party has become the party that readily accepted Barack Obama and Kamala Harris.

As a Northerner, I am quite certain that it was Southerners, conservative Southerners, who fought to keep slaves. My great great great grandfather from Ohio fought to free the slaves. Even rose to the rank of captain in the Union army.

mighty big words there and it sure sounds good on paper, but also, NOT TRUE.
If it is true, why did they elect a racist old white man?
    BOOM! end discussion
You know as well as I do that they use race as a WEAPON and they purposely keep black people down to maintain control over them. You can pretend all day but we know the truth.

Why would the fact that non-Whites come to the US mean that there's no racism here?

They came in the 19th century too. Does that mean there was no racism in the 19th century?

Really? Can we get a series of quotes from Dem presidential candidates saying it?

So far, there's been no quotes in the thread of anyone using the phrase "white racist state"!

I do not think that what you are saying squares all that well with reality. Not the reality that I live in.

Hang on. So the "establishment hacks" are not leftists in your view? Are any Democrats leftists in your view?

Not that you've offered quotes by any leftist using the phrase.

Racism baked into the system? So to you does the US being a "white racist state" just mean "racism exists"? Because racism exists, if that's the issue.

The first line in the OP clarified this was a question for folks who believe that. You were the first to reply... so if you dont believe we are a white racist state, why did you reply? Wouldn't it have been easier to allow the question to simply go unanswered if you believe no one here holds that belief?

To ask who believes that the US is a white racist state. What's wrong with that?

But then we wouldn't have got to ask the question.

Of course racism exists. As long as there are idiots that require someone to blame for their own screw ups and life choices racism will exist. However the only racism actually baked into the system is affirmative action.

Yes there are the so called squad is one bunch, Bernie and his bros are another. BLM states categorically that they are so does Antifa. The American political scene isn't bipolar it's multipolar and pretty much always has been.
The two major parties are coalition parties that cheerfully throw bones at whatever up shows up and then confiscates any worthwhile idea and gives whatever lip service that have to to keep the new group voting their way.

You've got to understand that lots of conservatives think that blacks should be profoundly grateful to the police for only killing occasional victims and not having an actual season on them or even just hunting them year-round like common vermin

Perhaps they didn't get the memo! Maybe they noticed that a person of color was elected president!

come on Darth ... your BOOM was a lady finger ... you don't get to end a discussion on an opinion ...

I think your use of the terms weapon and control is pushing into CT territory ...

    however ...

the unlimited escalating pay for babies program and perpetual Section 8 is a genuine detriment to the black community ... they are now born into the system and minus the few who know that life sucks and fight to get out, it continues ...

the welfare system needs a HUGE overhaul ...

I don't know what "CT" means. Agreed on section 8 and the "system". So how do they get out of this system? What side's policies will break that cycle? I mean this system is related to poverty right? So how do they get out of poverty? I don't know if outsourcing jobs helps this cause. I'm also not saying the republicans worked miracles for them either. Just inquiring

Do you believe the USA is full of systemic racism which would make it a white racist state?

The Immigration and Nationality Act, signed at the foot of the Statue of Liberty on Oct. 3, 1965, abolished the national origin quota system, under which immigrants were chosen on the basis of their race and ancestry. The quotas set aside tens of thousands of visas each year for immigrants from Northern and Western Europe, while many countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East were allocated barely 100 slots each. It was a blatantly dicriminatory system.
    https://www.npr.org/2015/10/03/445339838/the-unintended-consequences-of-the-1965-immigration-act

Per immigration data. Not since the 70s have we been a white state based on immigration.
