When I was a reporter I knew how things would likely happen at upcoming meetings and wrote the article hours in advance, adding only quotes and unexpected details later. I don't recall ever having to change any of the pre-event drafts.
Moses would have had no trouble writing the last chapter of Deuteronomy shortly before he died.

Faith in your declaration? Not hardly. Now, can you show PROOF of your claim?

    First....you missed your calling. You're obviously a prophet/soothsayer.

    Second.....screw Moses!

Third.........screw the whole bible. It's a bunch of hear say, dreams and bold faced lies.

A lot less of a stretch than believing snakes came about by random chance. Not THAT really takes faith.

I appreciate all forms of humor but some people are still taking this thread seriously and deserve something better.

The Bible has been the only widely recognized and read book across the world which fights against the success of nations that fall down when sexual promiscuity takes over.

Man wants to be sexual promiscuous, and women know they can profit by serving those interests.
No other "voice" exists that makes an argument against sexual promiscuity and is read and even the basis for religions.

That makes the Bible the most important writing in the world.

Snakes are the long traditional symbol for intellect or logical thinking.
The Bible has little other way to refer to these mental aspects except thru symbolism.

Today, we still indicate medicine and doctors and such with the same symbolism:

Christ was the last evolution for mankind.

All people who survive into the future will be like Jesus was:

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

So if Jesus was a spirit did he even exist? Since 2,000 years have passed how's that evolution thing going? Are you fully Jesus yet? Can you walk on water and cure the sick with just your touch?

Can a son of hell become a son of God?

You've obviously been brainwashed more than likely when you were a child. One generation has brainwashed the next for thousands of years. This is a perfect example of the full fledged horse manure contained in the bible. These are the sins punishable by death and their chapter and verse location in the old testament:

    Old Testament Death Penalty Sins

    •Murder - Gen. 9:6; Ex. 21:12-14,20,23; Lev. 24:17,21; Num. 35:16-34; Deut. 19.
    •Failing to circumcise - Gen. 17:14; Ex. 4:24,25.
•Eating leavened bread during feast of unleavened bread - Ex.
    •2:15,19.
    •Smiting Parents- Ex. 21:15.

    •uncleanness - Lev. 7:20,21.
•Eating the fat of sacrifices - Lev. 7:25.

Ref. Post #162: The correct symbol for the medical professions is the Rod of Ascipicus and not the Caduceus. The Caduceus got adopted because people were ignorant about Greek mythology. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caduceus_as_a_symbol_of_medicine

The same thing happened when people adopted ethnocentric Jewish and Arabian religious fairy tales as their religions.

That's what the Bible says. BEFORE the Fall, they were not on their bellies.

BTW, no I don't believe it.....do YOU believe in Genesis as literal truth???

(No, he won't answer that question...watch)

I believe that most of the book of Genesis is speaking metaphorically. As an example, the entirety of the 'Creation' story was summed up in chapter 1 verses 1 and 2.... after that verse, the remainder is the manifestation of His creation... That is made evident in the words "And God said, Let there be.....",, the word "be" means "to exist".. Now as to the snake prior to "the fall".... where was the snake before the fall?

Looks like you lost when you used that little innuendo as a closing statement.

Where does random chance come into this? What is random chance? Given enough time the probability of something happen increases.

Random chance-as commonly understood-would lead one to believe that no one should be too surprised if a bird gave birth to a fish.
Obviously you are defining those terms in different ways.
When we throw two dice the possible combinations 2-12 are random results, but some two-dice total numbers come up far more often because the combinations can be achieved in multiple ways.
If there is a limit to the possible random results there should be a better word.
We have yet to define all the limits (dominant genes, etc.) so we still don't know the most remote and unlikely possible results of certain types of mating.
It is said that when relatives mate there can be birth defects. These are generally defined as disabilities, but are increased abilities equally possible.
The ancient Egyptians married siblings for hundreds of years. How many pharoahs have been identified as disabled?
If I understand the marriage laws of Leviticus and Deuteronomy correctly, no Jew would ever have married beyond a second cousin. Of course they all cheated eventually. Would that have made the race die out? Could that have been someone's strategy?
Or was God trying to perfect the gene pool, to show how much humankind can improve.
Thoroughbred horses have family trees better traced than most of us, but has all that breeding really produced an improved race or even improved family of horses.
Royal lineages get almost comical when you watch whole lines come to dead ends.
I've concluded that God gets tired of royal families occasionally and decides to let a whole generation fail to reproduce in order to elevate a different strand.
Until you have reached the limit of what is possible, you can not say that anything is impossible.

And what precisely is wrong with 'liking' the manner in which something is stated? When using that 'Like' tab, there is no requirement to give explanation of what you like about that posting. My position on that subject is what one might call being "open minded"... willing to listen/read, and not to jump to conclusions on what is stated. That is also why I ask so many questions in seeking clarification of what was stated.

Or another way of putting it is....you want it both ways.

And no, the reason you "ask so many questions in seeking clarification of what was stated"....is to try to put the other person on the defensive and thus never have to answer questions yourself.

Well, that is one plausible possibility: However, can you show PROOF that what you have stated is the truth?

You can't show PROOF that what you stated in Post #172 is the truth, either, can you?

    :)
