A Republican Fight Just Broke Out in the House .....

Republicans lost their majority in the House on Election Day, paving the way for former Speaker Nancy Pelosi to regain her previous title and power.

But less than 24-hours after the polls closed, a fight for leadership in the next Congress broke out among Republicans.

First, House Freedom Caucus founder and Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan announced he will run for minority leader during an interview with The Hill TV.

Then House Majority Leader McCarthy, who was expected to become Speaker if Republicans kept the House, announced his run for minority leader. From POLITICO:

There you have it Establishment Repub vs the Tea Party Repub. Who would be better for Repubs?

Who wouldn't put up with the Demos and their Collectives incivility and temper tantrums?

 

Get all the establishment Republicans out of positions of consequence. They are all sellouts and completely worthless.

 

I would tend to prefer the Tea Party guy considering the circumstances at this time.

Jordan will have no trouble hooking Demos up on ethics complaints and referring them to DOJ if applicable.

That wont be good for Maxine Waters.

 

It isn't a fight...............yet. I sure like Jordan.

 

I think Scalise should have ran, he could get more behind him than Jordan or McCarthy.

 

If the Republican party wants to drop further down the rabbit hole of insignificance, Jordan is your guy. I do believe we'd have a Republican led Senate working more closely with Dems in the House, just to get anything done. While always noisy, Jordan and the rest of his far to the right freedom caucus pals are a minority. I think McCarthy wins easily......

President Trump seems to be facing a possible attack on the value of the USA dollar that will require a certain type of response...... and people capable of marketing President Trump's response to Americans........

There was never a fight in the GOP. Just an election.

Fake Newsers are trying to distrsct from the actual fight in the Democrat House.

Some Freshman Democtats campaigned on not voting for Pelosi. Their arms are currently being twisted to abandon the promises they made.

 

Obviously not after losing the House.

Sanchez wont be able to run against Pelosi now with her hubby under indictment and people looking into what money he gave his wife Sanchez.

 

In the Senate, Sinema's first official act as Senator Elect was to break her promise to never vote for Schumer.

Expect House Democtats to do likewise.

 

Ryan ran against Pelosi last time. Blue dog out of Ohio. It would be nice to see him beat her out. But it would be more Trouble for the Repubs.

Pelosi is good for Repubs.

 

Republicans have a historic opportunity to lend their bipartisan support to make ms Pelosi the next democratic speaker of the House. And isn't that grand? So, when all of those "the witch is dead" democrats fail to support ms Pelosi, republicans can save her year and elect her to the gavel, once again. Ta Da..

 

The Republicans continue to fail to make any significant changes in their leadership or their way of doing business, which is to just bitch about the Democrats and do nothing. I expect to see a tidal wave of conservatives running in 2020.

 

I'm a non-fan of RINOs as much as the next guy.

But nothing isn't a serious statement.

We have great SCOTUS confirmations and a great economy thanks to the entire GOP & Trump.

 

Pelosi is bad for America, but is easy to run against.

I doubt any Democrat that was corrupt enough to compete with her for the job would be any better for America.
