It means if you help out someone that looks sick and they have Ebola or Avian flu you're doomed.

Won't work. You need to move to a remote COLD place, with plenty of water, and where you have access to glass or similar to build a greenhouse. You then need to have a stand alone power supply, water supply, medical knowledge, and know how to live off the land indefinitely. We already do all the above, so we're golden :p

Prepping is idiotic. You can't live forever on 'stored' food and bottles of water.

Even those with 3 months worth, are doomed. Have you seen some of these nutty 'Preppers'? They think guns and a basement full of canned beans will save them. Some are so clueless that they have no idea how to grow a tomato plant. Some are so UNFIT, that they'll die of exhaustion long before their beans turn rancid. Imagine 'prepping' for a hard life of survival, and thinking you can do it as a soft bellied obese smoker who sits in an armchair all day.

The people who'll survive are those who already know how to provide for themselves off grid.

Prepping is certainly not idiotic. It will depend on the scenario. Mines not extreme. 3 Months worth. Cost is negligible.

For example in a pandemics case depending on what's happening? It might be beneficial to hold up for a few weeks until the dust settles.

What dust? The dust of millions of people forced to scurry out of their homes after a few days with no food or water killing each other for a bottle of water or a top ramen

Then pop on the backpacks and try to get out of the city ASAP. High risk yes but I'll take that versus running off the cliff with the other lemmings while they shoot each other as they are falling

Haha sir your hard core. Hope your strong that suckered filled up is gonna weigh in the 70lb range. Thats serious cardiovascular

I don't own a rifle but I keep a 12 gauge Mossberg blackened with a pistol grip option in the coat closet and my Ruger. The Ruger isn't smart it's heavy but I've shot it 1000s of times. Don't wanna learn another gun. Wifey has her. 380

These are self/home protection weapons that would be ok I think

You can live for several months, though, and by then anyone contagious is likely to be already dead.

    And the Medics are Japanese.
    Bunker >

Bugging out is for people who didn't think life through.

My fiancé loves our house, it's more like a duplex with half of it underground and reinforced.

Is that a Polytech or just a regular old Chinese Norinco? If it has a (386) stamp on the left hand side it's a Polytech, which was an American company based in china at the time.

I have the Polytech Mak-90 Legend, bought it with 2 of the pre-ban Chinese Steel drums.

Yeah, The PolyTechs will have a separate stamp on the action that looks like (386) that.
Most were imported with synthetic furniture. Mine is the thick model that looks more like an RPK than a AK. I switched the furniture up for a mahogany wood. I'll have to dig it out of the safe and take a picture.
