Fetuses deserve special rights because they are children. Pregnant women have responsibilities (the responsibility to give birth to the child they created) because they are parents.

That is an opinion with no consensus to support it. guess what, you don't get to decide who is responsible for what and there are no parents until after the birth - unless the man and/or woman already have other born children.

Exactly what 'hoops' am I jumping through here .. can you show me that there is a consensus amongst the subject matter experts (that would be biology in case you didn't know) that states a fetus is a child (or children)? Child support is for a BORN child, do governments decide how men are responsible for an UNBORN child? Do they force a man to pay for ANYTHING to do with a pregnancy? Actually you make my point for me about whether a fetus is a 'person' or not, the government don't become involved until AFTER the birth which is when a fetus becomes a person. If your assertion that a fetus at any point is a 'person' then the man would be forced by law to contribute to any and all expenses incurred during the pregnancy . .do they do that Sam? The fact of the matter is that no man is held accountable or responsible to a pregnant woman, he is under no obligation to support that woman and/or the pregnancy. Not even a married man is. well when you keep making the same basic errors expect the same basic FACTUAL reply, stop make those basic errors and you won't get the 'standard' factual reply.
