No, he did not contribute to the bill of rights. The other user said white christians wrote the bill of rights, my response was that they also held slaves.

Not sure what all this diversion has to do with the fact that Anthony Johnson, a black man, was the first slave owner in America.

Nooo...affirmative action as it was being practiced is to force diversity/equity of racial identity by propping up one race while punishing other races.

    Hence the supreme court ruling!

    Maybe you heard about it?

I thought it was funny Latinos and African Americans wanted Asians removed from being categorized as minorities because they are doing so much better than everyone else include white Americans (Asians make 117% more than white Americans)

I guess I'm a little confused what a minority actually is-Latino's make up about 17.6% of the population, African Americans make up 12.6% of the population, and Asians make up 5% of the population.

So, Asians make up over half as much of the population as Latinos and African Americans but they are not minorities???

What exactly is the definition of a minority???

Obviously, you two have history, but I don't know which of you is the Conservative and which of you is the Liberal-lol.

But...Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat, and President of Princeton and President of the USA, from around 1912-to 1921, banned African Americans from attending Princeton 30 years after Harvard accepted its first African American student.

He also authorized the widespread imposition of segregation inside the federal bureaucracy. He ousted many African Americans from federal posts and he was apposed to women's suffrage.

You all need a calendar. I don't think anyone that banned black Americans from Princeton, opposed women's suffrage, or enforced Jim Crow is alive today. There was crucifixtion once... but its long gone too.

Why don't you tell me why it is that none of y'all have said the first f-ing thing about this whole legacy thing before your racist program got axed by the Constitution? Not a peep, not a word, not a single thread, nothing. I never heard of it until after this ruling came out. Why is that?

“dumping in”? “hold no value”? Your idea of grammar, communication, and English Comp is …. um …. “interesting”. Did you go to college at all?

Like I just said. WTF does that code mean?

Careful. You’re bordering on personal insults.

What you should use is NAMED SOURCES. Nobody know whether your graph is valid or not.

And which side, exactly, would that be? The Whigs? The Anti-Federalists? Maybe the nascent Republicans, who sent Lincoln to the White House who is the man who presided over the just and proper end of slavery? And what did they stand for when AA was invented? Were they pro- or anti-free speech? In favor or opposed to balancing the Federal budget?

You're living in the past, dude, and blaming living people for the actions of people who died a century and a half (or more) before they were even born!! The liberal/conservative dichotomy that so mars our present day politics didn't even exist, at least not in any way remotely related to how things are today. And, for reasons unknown, you are butthurt over this decision. Perhaps it affects you personally in some way you're not disclosing, I couldn't say, but I never even knew you existed until this case was settled last week. And you never said a single word about legacies, or women, or vets, or any of the other nonsense you've been prattling about nonstop since then.

But mostly, you are a full blown and unapologetic racist. Sorry, the truth hurts at times.

I disagree, as it clearly reads more like an internet forum rant than a USSC Justice dissent. But, even if you're right... It doesn't matter. Because a dissent, even when well and properly written, has no more meaning, value, or precedent than, well, an internet forum rant. It's a personal opinion based on emotion and tribalism, and has no connection whatsoever with what the Constitution (you've heard of that, right?) has to say, even though it's one of those things that is crystal clear.

Whole lot of nothing said. That graph was from the information given from Harvard after they were investigated and found guilty of lowering standards for black people's SAT scores while increasing the standards for Whites and Asians.

I mean, the source is in the damn photo I posted.

    upload_2023-7-6_22-17-5.png
So if one wanted to investigate the validity of said source, all one would have to do is google "Harvard average SAT score per race court documents". And the 2018 Article comes up as to where this particular source came from. But several other websites report essentially the same information because it's factual.

The rest of your post was pretty much a temper tantrum. If Black people want to get into Harvard and compete with everyone else, then they need to be held to the same standards.

Where did you get I am in favor of "outlawing" them.....I am just pointing out racist hypocrisy....and you never answered my question.

More opinion without facts. You have "proven" nothing. Yes lowering the academic bar for athletes does bring a valuable monetary "skill" much like being on the deans list and legacy.
Harvard said if they admitted all the Asian Americans strictly on merit they would be 43% of the class. How do you feel about that?

    Did you miss post #33?

How is it a racist hypocrisy? You are the one saying that blacks have never been rich enough to do this? Get out of here. Your statement seems racist. It’s a good thing we have a constitution that prohibits favoritism based on race with comments like yours.

How would i feel about Asians making up 43 percent of the student body?

    Fine?

I guess people would have to come to terms with the reality that Asian culture is more productive?

Lower divorce rates. More disciplined...hard working and productive members of society.
Whom has a higher on average IQ score.

    Oh the horror!

And if we want to compete with that...I guess we are going to have to be that as well?

Only a progressive would be offended by the truth that some cultures are just garbage compared to others?

Jews are 2% of the US population. My class at Yale-at least several times that percentage. The Ivies once had quotas against Jews. Many of the Jews I knew were the grandchildren or in a few cases, the children of holocaust survivors. Two of my best friends were the grandsons of survivors. they were the top two scholars in the Class of 1980. Both earned Rhodes scholarships. One's father-who was born in Poland, was a prominent attorney. The other's was a doctor. they didn't need affirmative action yet their people were persecuted for hundreds of years and treated badly in the USA

Interesting that the same people who want to open doors to all immigration are suddenly worried about Harvard being 43% Asian. What did they expect would happen?
