They throw the pages of the federal register up in the air everyday. God removes all the pages He wants to remove, and lets the legislators keep the rest.

you think paying a stripper to keep it from the electorate is the same as a private affair, one is an election violation

both were consensual affairs, both were adultery, do you support either?

when is Trump gonna tear down the Statue of Liberty

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Without a merit-based immigration system, like we used to have, we are the dumbest nation on the planet.

Does it really matter? In an civilization that allows a man to identify as a woman in order to become a champion in women's sports how far away are we from allowing whites to self identify as blacks in order to get preferential treatment?

The fact that Warren pretended to be a minority to get extra privileges is all the evidence you really need to prove that white privilege is a myth.

The ancient Romans had it exactly right in that they considered actors to be on the same level as prostitutes.

Trump never lied under oath to a Federal grand jury, why should Trump have a worse punishment than Clinton?

    Early 20th century.

Immigrants had to have a job lined up, be in good health, etc.

I think the president doing an intern in the Oval Office is far worse than any private citizen cheating or trying to hide it. Yes. It’s worse. And you didn’t get the memo. It doesn’t matter if a woman claims any relationship is consensual. If a male boss is having sex with a female subordinate, it’s #metoo. How could she say no? You think all the starlets said no when they did favors for movie producers to get roles? They all said yes, unless they were drugged. But most still agreed. Doesn’t matter if they were disgusted or not. It was consensual. Still rape though depending who you ask. You haven’t been paying attention:)

Prostitutes were a respected profession, Some of them were sacred.

    Where did they put politicians?

Immigrants always had to be in good health. There was never any problem with a job as they were often hired right off the boat. The 1924 laws did require a very basic literacy test. The main provision of the new laws was very restrictive quotas on the ones said to be "inferior"

Not true at all. Especially in the Roman era. Where did you learn your history from?

Prostitution in ancient Rome was legal and licensed. In ancient Rome, even Roman men of the highest social status were free to engage prostitutes of either sex without incurring moral disapproval,[1] as long as they demonstrated self-control and moderation in the frequency and enjoyment of sex. At the same time, the prostitutes themselves were considered shameful: most were either slaves or former slaves, or if free by birth relegated to the infames, people utterly lacking in social standing and deprived of most protections accorded to citizens under Roman law, a status they shared with actors and gladiators, all of whom, however, exerted sexual allure.[2] Some large brothels in the 4th century, when Rome was becoming officially Christianized, seem to have been counted as tourist attractions and were possibly state-owned.[3]

Satyr and Maenad; Roman fresco from the Casa degli Epigrammi in Pompeii
Most prostitutes were slaves or freedwomen, and it is difficult to determine the balance of voluntary to forced prostitution. Because slaves were considered property under Roman law, it was legal for an owner to employ them as prostitutes.[4] The 1st-century historian Valerius Maximus presents a story of complicated sexual psychology in which a freedman had been forced by his owner to prostitute himself during his time as a slave; the freedman kills his own young daughter when she loses her virginity to her tutor.[5][6]

Although rape was a crime in ancient Rome, the law only punished the rape of a slave if it "damaged the goods", since a slave had no legal standing as a person. The penalty was aimed at providing the owner compensation for the "damage" of his property.

Sometimes the seller of a female slave attached a ne serva clause to the ownership papers to prevent her from being prostituted. The ne serva clause meant that if the new owner or any owner afterwards used the slave as a prostitute she would be free.[7]

Of course it’s all bad. But some are worse. A CEO doing his admin is bad. A president doing an intern is certainly the height of adultery:)

The Democrats still want people as slaves to the government. Old habits die hard.
