The thing about Hollywood is that folks there get this inane idea that for some reason, their opinions on political matters actually count. It seems to come with the territory out there... But seriously, this is the guy who started life as a "busboy" at Studio 54. I'm pretty sure that learning the hard lessons of life in that maze of sexual drug fueled haze might just preclude anyone from ever finding Alec credible on most anything.

What’s wrong with wanting fewer uneducated poor people with nothing to offer? We have zero obligation to give anything to anyone. If the choice is a family with education, money and fully documented vs single males with no ID, no education and no prospects, we should choose the more qualified people.

There is NOTHING wrong with merit based immigration. It’s what countries like Sweden, Denmark and The Swiss have done forever.

Who cares about race or ethnicity? Merit is all that matters. But if you want to look at data, minorities make up most of the least qualified applicants compared to Canadians or Anglos from EU. Data is data. Poor countries produce poor people looking to leave. This isn’t rocket science. We just don’t need more poor people looking for a better life because we already have Millions. Makes no logical sense to import more.
