Anarchism is not synonymous with anarchy.

It doesn't matter what people think. Hacking into the CIA computer database is a federal felony that will land you in one of those high security federal prisons where they put you in solitary confinement and you never see the sun again.

 

Well, actually anarchy does equate to chaos, and worse. In practice I mean. They cocked up a perfectly good revolution in Spain and in Russia Makhno set up a gangster state which robbed trains and couldnt make up which side it was on.

How can you make such an assertion, Anarchism is a broad tent of ideology, there are many different types of Anarchism. There is Individualist Anarchism, green Anarchism, Christian Anarchism, Anarcho-Syndacalism there is even Anarcho-capitalism. I myself admire many of the ideas of anarchism.

Many anarchists are ok, many fought in the Red Army in Russia, Victor Serge joined the Bolsheviks and wrote Trotsky's biography with his wife.

But in Spain they did refuse to take power when they could, and later they did join a capitalist-Stalinist government, and both are inexcusable, as was Makhno in Russia.

 

Because marxists treated anarchists just fine.

You can't just attach labels and summarize all people in whatever category based upon the characteristics of some. I think we are all guilty of this.
