His followers have to get down to Trump's IQ level so they can continue to support him

IQ tests, along with every human construct, is imperfect, as we humans are imperfect, but imperfection does not equate to inaccuracy. IQ tests are an accurate instrument that we have to index intelligence; its imperfection does not dilute the OP's point.

Forgot IQ tests for now. For Biden, we just need a basic mental competency test, for starters:

It was hilarious that CNN actually brought that up right to her face.

Also, your side doesn't get to make intelligence jokes anymore. Ever. You all support Biden, the stupidest president that we have ever had. You know, the guy who talks like this:

I mean the OP is saying basically the same thing, but about the other side, so not really a compelling point.

The reality is that there is only limited causal connection between education and IQ. A more likely explanation is something to do with nutrition. For example, the recent past saw a consistent rise in IQ as more and more people regularly obtained adequate calories as children, which promoted brain development. However, this period also coincided with a still largely independent set of food producers and a diet built around natural foods. As processed foods have become a far greater component of the global diet, the previous rise brought about by access to consistent calories plateaued and the quality of calories saw a slight decline. Is that what happened? I have no idea, but it is a much more scientifically compelling explanation than "the political ideology I don't like made kids dumber!!!!!"

The key to a healthy mind and body is rare red meat, supplemented with beer, flan and after-dinner Amaretto.

Well that point demonstrates that you know nothing about how standardize IQ tests are created and the assumptions they operate under.

Doesn't mean the rioters weren't still wandering around and trying to get to them. Otherwise Ashli Babbit might not have taken a bullet.

I don't know about that. Supposedly crime rates were higher in the 90s than they are now.

Crime is not like weather, and just happens. It's prevalence relates to several things- part of which is economics, but mostly in the state of mind of the people. It's never going to be zero- but we regulate it with laws that we enforce. Laws not enforced are wall paper- so fair laws and strong, fair enforcement are primary controls.

A district judge I knew well once told me "The best regulator is the self-regulator. We only need laws because some people refuse to regulate themselves- and if everyone did, I'd be out of work".

Laws don't change too fast, but the ethics of power often does. Right now, we have all kinds of people in positions such as district attorneys that have more sympathy for the criminal than they do for the victim, which enables crime. There has always been a factor of the public that wants to believe crime is only the result of economics or disadvantage, rather than the character of people. The swings of sympathy in the public control who is elected and the policies they embrace, so things change. Weak policies encourage and enable crime, strong one do the opposite.

During the 1990s, crime rates in New York City dropped dramatically, even more than in the United States as a whole. Violent crime declined by more than 56 percent in the City, compared to about 28 percent in the nation as whole. Property crimes tumbled by about 65 percent, but fell only 26 percent nationally.

Many attribute New York's crime reduction to specific "get-tough" policies carried out by former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's administration. The most prominent of his policy changes was the aggressive policing of lower-level crimes, a policy which has been dubbed the "broken windows" approach to law enforcement. In this view, small disorders lead to larger ones and perhaps even to crime. As Mr. Guiliani told the press in 1998, "Obviously murder and graffiti are two vastly different crimes. But they are part of the same continuum, and a climate that tolerates one is more likely to tolerate the other."

One would think that wise people would look at the concepts that produce the best results and adopt them. That would be logical and rational. However, The public in general is more emotional that logical and rational, and they will do the opposite- replace working systems with what sounds good.

It's really very fundamental. When you tolerate bad conduct, it becomes acceptable and you get more of it. When it has highly undesirable consequences, you get less of it.
Same rules that produce good behavior is children work all across the spectrum. The catch is that you can't just write the rules, you have to back them up solidly.

If you don't- your rules become wallpaper, and you have to deal with increasingly bad conduct everyday.

Crime now, based on the graph, is about the same as it was back around 9/11 but nowhere near as bad as it apparently was in the early 90s. Laws and people have changed, but one thing I thought about was sometimes its the exact same person or people doing these crimes and either not getting caught or getting locked up but released only to do it again, for one reason or another. Not to mention social media exists now when it didn't 30 years ago. And this is all during the COVID pandemic

100% correct. New York City was considered ungovernable at the time. No one could possibly clean up the city. And yet Rudy did it. That's why the liberals hate Rudy. He arrested criminals and put them in jail. The criminals were mostly black. That's really why the liberals hate Rudy. I've lived in the city all my life and it was the best time for the city. Michael Bloomberg continued it for the most part. Then the liberal took over again and the city has gone to ****.

20 year of Republican policies and the city was great. The rest liberal and the city sucks. Yet the liberals are still absolutely positively sure they're correct. That's IQ for you.

Straight ahead- I think there are different parameters that are often thought of as IQ; the most important of which is wisdom. You can have a high IQ and yet have great difficulty making things logical and functional, particularly in the area of human interactions and motives; why people do what they do. Many liberals seem to have a serious conflict in this area. They have the IQ, but fail when it comes to being able to see how today's decisions shape tomorrow's realities. They replace what works- with what sounds good, failing to consider the weaknesses such a concept has and the results it will foster.
The top quote in my footer says it well.

NYC' recovery from the crime levels of the 90's should be an object lesson, clearly demonstrating what works. When you set that aside and things go downhill fast- you would think that an intelligent leader would recognize that a mistake had been made, and revert back to the successful policies. The liberals absolutely refuse to accept that they are wrong... and instead of reverting, they double down.
Therein in the difference between IQ and wisdom.... and acting stupidly because of your own arrogance.

In a foot note to back up the above-

NYC's Manhattan DA, Alvin Bragg, issued several instructions to staff. These included:

"First, Bragg issued a Day 1 Memo to staff – and a fact sheet to the public – seeking to reduce prosecution of criminals.
Under "key points" of his memo, seeking to keep criminals out of jail, reducing criminal prosecution and "reserving this tool only for those who commit truly violent acts."
"Not prosecuting minor offenses that have no impact on public safety," the memo read. "This will not only make us safer by not further destabilizing their lives, it will also free up prosecutorial resources to focus on violent crime."

Last year Bragg reduced 52% of all felony charges to misdemeanor. He even targeted a Bodega employee who was forced to use deadly force after being assaulted by a thug. Bragg later dropped the charges against the Bodega employee after he realized a jury would never side with his office.

Bragg is saying that what has already been proven to work in his own city doesn't work.... and reverts to the mindset that triggered runaway crime before.

Actually you are the one who knows nothing!! :blahblah::blahblah::blahblah:

Did I do that right? Make a personal attack, vaguely veiled as an unsupported assertion, followed by absolutely no argument or evidence whatsoever? This whole debate thing is super easy, as long as I always assert I am right, that means I am right... right?

I've long observed that to convince a person they are wrong about something, they think you must measure it with the same ruler they did..... and never question the ruler.

Except I know how they work typical standardized IQ test work by comparing what you know with what others in your peer group know and make assumptions about your IQ based on that information. That's true of the Iowa standardized test given to elementary students and the Peabody given to students who have not yet demonstrated reading competency are but two such examples. these tests do not actually measure IQ. They measure what you know as compared to what other members of your peer group know. I've both taken and administered the Iowa, and administered the Peabody.

The obvious hole in both tests is that they, for obvious reasons cannot differentiate as to the background of those taking the test or what relevant information they have or have not been exposed to. What these test are revealing isn't a reduction in IQ but rather a decay in education methodology and very likely the curriculum as well.

    How do you explain this...?
    E68CB7E9-8401-474D-A868-E71EE58677DA.jpeg

American schools in low- and middle-income communities are dragging our numbers down. Yes, we could be doing better, especially if we attracted better teachers by raising the pay and spent more on schools in the poorer part of town.

    Vouchers might help, too.

Can you establish he is responsible when the lead time on oil snd gas projects means many of them started before he became President?
Trump made a deal with the Taliban and didn't have forces to cover a withdrawal.
In four years, he did nothing about the Russian occupation of Crimea and war in the Donbas.
He gave 85% of the personal tax cut to people making $400,000 a year after promising he wouldn't cut the top bracket. He tried to kill Obamacare premium subsidies that would have ended healthcare coverage for 20+m Americans. He did almost nothing to fix public education. He undermined NATO, likely encouraging Putin to go after the Ukraine. He launched a failed go-it-alone trade war with China. He could have worked with the TPP.

    That's enough for starters.

Trump didn't declare war on the US oil industry as Biden did. H e did NOT raise taxes (royalties) on oil from wells on public lands, he did NOT discourage fracking, he did NOT cancel pipelines, and he did NOT limit drilling licenses. By NOT DOING those things, he kept prices low. Biden DID those things and sent gas prices through the roof.

Trump's "deal" with the Taliban ended before he left office when the Taliban failed to establish a ceasefire with the Afghani government. THAT ENDED THE DEAL. It was OVER... DONE... left the building. Biden's cowardly retreat from Afghanistan that cost so many American and allied lives, and armed the Taliban... was all Biden's doing.

Who cares about the Crimea and the Donbas (especially the Donbas). Not NATO. No critical American interests. We shouldn't be involved in every regional conflict in the world.

85% tax cut to the rich? Total BS. His tax cuts included things like making interest on college loans deductible. You think that was the rich? (LOL) He cut EVERY tax rate... not just for the rich. Your 85% number is bogus. Why do you hate the rich? Jealous? Can't face your own failures? Public education was in good shape when Trump was around. It was free of CRT and other woke BS.

Trump BOLSTERED NATO by making them increase their spending on NATO. Trump did NOT encourage Putin to go after Ukraine. It was Biden's cowardly, disorganized retreat from Afghanistan that emboldened Putin to invade Ukraine.

He's been rock solid on education, and was handily reelected.

Brian Kemp, Georgia’s Affable Culture Warrior.

'In April 2020, businesses in Georgia were shuttered by government decree as in most of the rest of the country. Mr. Kemp was hearing from desperate entrepreneurs: “ ‘Look man, we’re losing everything we’ve got. We can’t keep doing this.’ And I really felt like there was a lot of people fixin’ to revolt against the government.”'

'The Trump administration “had that damn graph or matrix or whatever that you had to fit into to be able to do certain things,” Mr. Kemp recalls. “Your cases had to be going down and whatever. Well, we felt like we met the matrix, and so I decided to move forward and open up.” He alerted Vice President Mike Pence, who headed the White House’s coronavirus task force, before publicly announcing his intentions on April 20.'

'That afternoon Mr. Trump called Mr. Kemp, “and he was furious.” Mr. Kemp recounts the conversation as follows:“Look, the national media’s all over me about letting you do this,” Mr. Trump said. “And they’re saying you don’t meet whatever.”
Mr. Kemp replied: “Well, Mr. President, we sent your team everything, and they knew what we were doing. You’ve been saying the whole pandemic you trust the governors because we’re closest to the people. Just tell them you may not like what I’m doing, but you’re trusting me because I’m the governor of Georgia and leave it at that. I’ll take the heat.”'

'“Well, see what you can do,” the president said. “Hair salons aren’t essential and bowling alleys, tattoo parlors aren’t essential.”
“With all due respect, those are our people,” Mr. Kemp said. “They’re the people that elected us. They’re the people that are wondering who’s fighting for them. We’re fixin’ to lose them over this, because they’re about to lose everything. They are not going to sit in their basement and lose everything they got over a virus.”'

KEMP MADE THE RIGHT CALL FOR FREEDOM AND LIBERTY and, he's also similarly been good on education. The People First, not the Totalitarian Ass Hats.
