All last week Trump praised the king and the crown prince, and he believed there story line even thought it kept changing.

That was last week. Trump on Tuesday condemned Saudi Arabia’s account of the killing of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi as “the worst cover-up ever,” and his administration warned for the first time that it would impose human rights sanctions on those who took part in the plot. Trump, as is his custom, offered only rhetoric. No one has the slightest idea what he is talking. It is safe to say, Trump doesn't know either.

“They had a very bad original concept, it was carried out poorly, and the cover-up was one of the worst in the history of cover-ups. Whoever thought of that idea, I think, is in big trouble, and they should be in big trouble,” Trump said.

Look closely at what Trump said. He is trying to be coy. Even Trump knows the king and MBS rule Saudi Arabia with an iron fist. The men who murdered Khashoggi were a part of the crown prince's entourage. It is hardly a stretch that MSB order Khashoggi detained and interrogated.

"Whoever thought of that idea" is the crown prince. Yet Trump fails to assign responsibility for Khashoggi's detention and murder to the Saudi leadership, and that fact is obvious.

Even Trump admits trying to assign blame for the journalist's death to MSB's henchmen is ludicrous, but he fails to put the blame where it belongs.

The Saudis changed their story again, this time finally admitting the obvious. Saudi Arabia's public prosecutor said Thursday that the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in their consulate in Istanbul was premeditated, reversing course yet again on Saudi's account of what happened.

The report provides no further details about the information that led to this conclusion, nor does it say whether the "premeditated" killing happened under orders from the Saudi government. That is almost comical. Who else would have the authority to order a murder in a Saudi consulate if it isn't the Saudi government?

The king and MBS are the Saudi government.

All of this renders the location of the body moot. We know what happened to the body. Or shall I say, body parts.

Just what would you like Trump to do, call the Saudis liars and break off relations with them and chase them into Russia's camp? They already are trying to woo Turkey out of NATO into their camp.Saudi Arabia has always been a problem and also a big help. They help in our war in Kuwait against Iraq with not only military, but vast amounts of money to help pay for it. They have influence on other Arab states we have to deal with. They were a huge help to Reagan against the Soviet Union. He sold them AWAC planes to get the Saudis to drop the price of oil to around $15.00 a barrel. That was to hurt hurt the Soviets, who's main source of money was in oil and gas exports. Reagan was in a weapons buildup war with the Soviets and they had a head start. He knew that Russia was hurting trying to hold the countries they captured after WWII, fuel their economy and stay ahead of America. Reagan was trying to bankrupt them and dropping the price of oil was a big step in helping to do that. Yes, it's a shame a reporter got killed and the Saudis were responsible. But many have been killed in that rat hole called the Middle East. Including 4 of our people in Libya. Seams the Left is more worried about this foreign reporter than the four Americans we lost along with our embassy. We are not going to make a big deal of it like you Liberals want. We have to much to lose, if we lose Saudi Arabia. That isn't even counting the hundreds of billions in weapons orders and thousands of jobs with weapons contracts we have with them. So cool your jets Sandy, not much is going to come of it, even though you would like it too.

Tell the king to remove the crown prince from power. He is responsible for the murder of a legal American resident and a journalist at a Saudi consulate. I have said that a few times on this thread.

You went to a lot of trouble imagining what I wanted Trump to do. It is all B.S.

The Saudi embassy is technically Saudi soil and the person was a Saudi citizen. If anything, Turkey is the country that has a justified concern to investigate who entered their country and for what purpose.

    Why?

Because they have what they claim to be evidence.

The US has no evidence related to the incident... More cries from the Left to condemn without any first hand ability to confirm or refute what happened..

That may be true, but it is what you said I wanted concerning S.A. that was bull****.

Our two domestic acts of terrorism days apart have removed Khashoggi from the front page. But what MBS did will not be swept under the rug. I think the king will quietly remove MBS from power.

Yes, we do. The Saudi government has admitted it ordered the killing.

I was asked what I would like Trump to do. I answered the question. No where have I said the U.S. can dictate to the Saudi government.

This will go unpunished and be allowed to fade away. Trump makes far to much money from SA and wants them to buy weapon as well. in light of this a reporter from the "failing" media who is not even a U.S citizen but merely a resident is expendable just like the U.S reputation as an ethical bastion.
