    Nope free range chickens become food for small predators ranging from weasels to raptors. And it can be a bitch to find the eggs. Free range pigs become feral hogs and cause billions in ecological damage to say nothing of becoming down right dangerous to humans. In both cases significantly increasing the cost to consumers and making the producers life more dangerous and difficult into the bargain.
