Short simple answer = the law.
And just like the Social media businesses and the bakery, they agreed to follow the laws of the State they requested and received their business license.
If one doesn't want to follow the law, then don't accept said business license.

Yes. A private company deciding to no longer publish for a group is totally comparable to the Holocaust. When my grandfather talked about his time in a Nazi prison camp, it was basically the same thing as this.

Fallacy. Argumentum ad vericundiam. Please explain why this should be the law. And also the please explain how to go about enforcing "specific performance" (a legal standard) when it comes to something like baking a cake.

Are social media businesses licensees in the same way bakeries are? I don't think so. I think we have two different types of businesses. One is free to discriminate to its heart's content and enjoy the freedom of association as guaranteed by the Constitution, the other is not. There seems, at least, an inconcsistency there.

That would be a thread derail.
You asked a question, I gave the factual answer.

Agreeing or disagreeing with the law is off topic.
It was dicussed ad nauseum 6 or so years ago.

My point of licenses is each company agrees to law upon receiving said business license. That's it.

I would bet if any social media company banned a gay/black/female person because they are gay/black/female, they'd get in trouble like the bakery. If it could be proved.

There’s little actual evidence to suggest that #WalkAway represents a mass conversion of millions, or even thousands of Democrats.
It was amplified artificially by bots to seem bigger than it is.

so what you want is to force Christian to let Muslims overload their web site with counter propaganda and visa versa?

no more Christian only sites, no more Muslim only sites, every site has to be open to all views, even hate?

Not sure what post you think you're responding to, but there's no way you could draw that conclusion based on the words I typed.

maybe I misread it, so you agree that websites should be able to maintain control of their own websites

Non sequitur. I mentioned nothing about electric or gas companies, from which one has no choice. So, you have made an assumption.

FB is free, and one does have choices.

No it would not be off topic. We are discussing the rights of private businesses to refuse service to people for various reasons. I mean, honestly, how do you make someone bake a cake?

how do you force someone to make a big mac? this is off topic, not the same at all

twitter is open to everyone equally, as long as they follow the TOS, and of course there is the fact Twitter is a free service, Trump paid nothing to use their web servers, not a penny

It's sad that people cannot distinguish between baking a cake and services that openly permit users to promote killing, hanging, rape and torture of politicians.

Sure, you can get on any desktop computer and get to it easy enough. What about your Iphone? Android device? That IS what is being talked about after all. Do you know how to sidewall? Do you even know what that is without looking it up?
