What's wrong with a kid starting out as a shelf stocker at Wal-Mart?

The smarts ones will advance and the ones who can't or won't, won't.

It's called nature. The definition of Success varies with individuals, we all need to work somewhere.

Drive and common sense is more important than education, without drive, what good is education.

There is nothing wrong with education as long as it doesn't leave you broke and you actually do something with it.

Your dismal tirade makes me want to puke, you and yours are enablers and cheer leaders for failure.

One excuse after another why you can't make it in mean ole America.

If you can't make it here, then you tell me where in the hell you have a better chance.

In America, you can go as far as your brain or the sweat of your brow will take you.

It's all up to the individual.

We both know you are wrong.

    It's plain as day.

The stupid tack is all yours.

OK Gargoyle, you ask for it.

Give me one example of an obama compromise for the good of democratic governance.

You are funny with your knack for stepping in it while trying to show us all how smart you are.

We need a name for the first party that resorts to the race card as losing the debate. It's clear the race card has overtaken Godwin's Law.

None of the winners will be tea party candidates.

And even if the GOP takes the Senate, not much will change.

    Bullcrpa.

Red states sucked off from the feds more often than the blue states.

    LOL...

This keeps coming up over, and over, and over.

Blue state cities have higher costs of living than red states. The federal guidelines are a one-size-fits-all. Red states usually have lower wages because the costs of living are lower. Hence, if you have the same percentage of people living good to bad, more people in red states qualify for assistance.

This is one of several reasons why we need to keep sacred, the 10th amendment, and return more functions to the states.

You and marie Antoinette - "let them eat cake".

Probably too much cake is what makes you puke.

Funny thing is that you can't differentiate between those that can and those that can't. to you if they can't, they don't deserve anything.

Let not ye be thy brother's keeper.

But such a distorted view of reality, not to mention the American dream I am not surprised you think advocating for the have-nots and the cannots is cheerleading failure.

Social Darwinism doesn't work. As countless assassinations, riots, revolutions and wars have demonstrated.
Of course to you conservatives the "wealth gap" is a figment of liberal class warfare.

What a dismal view of the human condition.

do you always refer to yourself as the royal "we"?

the only thing that is plain as day is your ignorance of semantics.

And yes, I do acknowledge that I "own" the statement "then you wouldn't even attempt this stupid tack"

I doubt you could be more transparent. May I suggest some more fencing lessons as it seems you have trouble scoring anywhere but your inside your own mind.( now that is a metaphor).

I don't have to show anyone how smart I am, I know how smart I am and while it is merely an accident of birth, I am rather pleased that my accident yielded far better results than yours.

    http://newsone.com/1509175/democrats-want-obama-to-stop-compromising-with-gop

here's a handy little list you can peruse at your leisure.

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/compromise/

Seems you either have a short memory, a wholly partisan filter on your memory, you don't keep current on political news, or you are simply doing the job of partisan bumper sticker regurgitater.

Whatever it is, it sure does show us all EXACTLY how smart you are.

    Your claims are false.

Red states are almost all receiver states. That is well documented.

Federal aid is rarely "one size fits all". You made that up and asserted it as fact.

In fact, few Federal aid programs are "one size fits all".

Since you stutteringly admitted you were wrong in your "own" little way,

I'm going to let all that other garbage slide.

Seems you really do have a problem with reading comprehension and semantics.
I neither stuttered, nor did I admit I was wrong, I admitted that I "own" the statement, and actually stand by it.
But in true conservative fashion you ignore conditional.

didn't like my metaphor, Mr. Metaphor?

It was pithy, but it's not my ignorance I've been confronted with.

I'm starting to feel a little sorry for you.

    Take care.
