Are Conservatives Hypocrites?

You can't say "Marriage isn't a religious practice", and change the fact that it is. 99% of people get married by a religious clergyman, so when you change the legal definition of marriage you are changing their religion.

 

You're not changing anything.

In Spain we have homosexual marriage. Do we have changed the religion of this? No.

The ones that continue want to marrying for the church can, and the working of the church hasn't changed in any point.

Ah, and in USA there are protestant churches that make the homosexual marriage. These marriages need to be recognized by the government, and it is changing the law.

 

Of course I don't want to abolish the death penalty. The death penalty is to be exercised for those adults who commit murder. You know....an eye for an eye..a tooth for a tooth as our bible tells us.

How many of you would you support public healthcare? Yes, the state can implement it as public, no?

How many of you would support that a state decides to give no more money to any religious institution neither cuts.

Decide to spend more in public education...

Unfortunately I agree with you this time.
Not for the same reasons mind you...but I do think the death penalty should be reinstated...and I wish they'd do that up here.

 

Yeah. And if the executed was innocent. Ooops we murdered an innocent person for error. Yeah.

There are many executions that have given this case.

 

Sounds like you have no faith in our court and jury system to make the right decisions concerning capital punishment. Perhaps we should bring back the good ole days where the townfolk lynched the rascals in front of everyone.

I'm in favour of capital punishment and am willing to accept the small percentage of wrongful prosecutions under the following circumstances:

1. The crime MUST be 1st degree murder and may not be related to any sort of crimes of passion. Those murders are generally executed by people driven temporarily insane.

2. After being convicted...NOT A SINGLE CENT...save the cost of the bullet...be spent on the convict. He/she is marched out back of the courthouse and unceremoniously capped.

I believe that after a year of this...the murder rate would do a nose-dive.
