Are Trump supporters Bush supporters?

I resigned the Republican Party in the Fall of 2002 because of the march to war on Iraq. I just couldn't believe it was happening. Bush and Cheney marginalized everyone who said not to do it.. to include historians, oilmen, Arabs, diplomats, the Europeans and even some of their generals.. Prince Bandar was recalled to KSA because he failed to get thru to Bush who was ostensibly his friend.

Of course the Brits were on board.. They set off Operation Mass Appeal in 1998 to SELL the invasion of Iraq.

 

Bush's exact words were Gathering danger. Bush did not claim Saddam was loading WMD onto airplanes to head to our country.

Well, maybe you know the names of all the Generals that served Saddam but you are in the minority. General Sada had no reason to lie about Saddam.

A does not lead to B by the way. Even if we helped Saddam, Reagan also got accused of helping Iraq.

 

I remind you, the mission then undertaken was to end the regime of Saddam Hussein and our men fought brilliantly and won in a few weeks.

 

Talk about a mess. This country has men and women devoted to the overthrow of Trump who is our lawful president. Bush warned against Al Qaeda and in fact used the forces available in Afghanistan to end their government over Afghanistan. notice too that Iraqi elects it's leaders today that do not use the military to control the public of Iraq.

 

What I find most interesting is how you remained a loyal Republican though you allege we handed WMD over to Saddam Hussein. Only to flip flop due to the same thing.

 

We sold weapons to Saddam because he was fighting Iran on our behalf.. That was the Dual Containment Policy that worked so well for over 20 years BEFORE Bush's invasion in 2003.

When the Kurds were gassed at Halabja in 1988 by either Saddam or Iran??? we didn't
bat an eye… After all Churchill gassed thousands of Kurds and Arabs in Iraq in 1920.. We hanged Saddam for the gas attack on Halabja.

 

Iraq has no military,,, Bush and company dismantled ALL institutions.. That's why Saddam's former military are now ISIS..

What you are pulling is not remotely a debate. Who told you who it was that hanged Saddam?

 

Bush 1 was an honorable man and was not lying with his "Read my lips" statement. He believed that he could make it happen or he would have not uttered those words. Trump is a con-man and liar and makes statements for flapping purposes only. His base believes
what he says he has accomplished instead of doing their due diligence. An example is tax 'reform' which was simply a huge tax reduction for the rich, and a wall paid for by Mexico. And on and on.

 

They first convicted Saddam of gassing the Kurds.

 

My understanding is that Bush and Cheney wanted to kill Sadaam because Sadaam tried to assassinate Bush 1 after he was out of office. They invented the 'weapons of mass destruction' as an excuse to attack Iraq.

 

Trump brags about things that are not accurate.

 

Fine, let's then excoriate all presidents over any and all lies told by all of them. Apparently Trump is held to a super high standard never imposed at any point on past presidents.

FDR lied about classes of humans yet his fans dearly to this day love that man.

That is the Democrat myth. When they came to office, as to Iraq, they decided to get the professionals to go over all the facts to verify what the Clinton findings were. Bush even challenged our own CIA on what they told him. Tenet told Bush there is no doubt Saddam has WMD and Bush retorted "can you prove that to me?" Tenet famously told Bush it is a slam dunk.

I would admit that to date i have never heard of a country being favorable to nations assassinating their leadership.

A lot of this horse pucky falls on Cheney. Cheney only had the more actual government experience over the younger George W Bush. Bush however remained captain of the ship of state and Cheney remained his good advisor. Cheney admits this in fact.

WMD was a huge claim by Clinton. How can so many Democrats have forgot about this?

 

My money to pay the man is refused by Trump who donates his pay to charity.

I pay almost no attention to Democrats whose life is lived by lying.
