Taxes are one thing, wealth redistribution is another. We didn't institute this government to "prop up" the middle class. That's as imaginary as your moral argument for stealing.

If you're so into right side, read the Bible. Making money doesn't make you a saint one. Besides, I haven't stolen anything yet... mostly when we speak about the others, we speak about ourselves.

No. Actually that's exactly what taxes do. They redistribute wealth. Also, we didn't institute government to function as a plutocracy with all wealth concentrated at the top. That's the very thing that toppled France, and cost Marie Antoinette and Louis their heads.

Then again, the rich guy could simply buy all the food in the store, and everyone else can do without.

Yup... which is exactly what some would do, which is what triggers those who are starving to figure they've got nothing to loose, so they start a revolution, and start forcing the human-hating selfi(*)(*)(*)(*)es to share.

We didn't institute it to beat it down either.

His point wasn't that rich people can do stupid things with their money, it's that greater distribution of wealth increases productivity.

NO, they DON'T redistribute wealth...... They are used to pay for SERVICES the GOVERNMENT PROVIDES such as defense..... protection of rights.....

WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION is when the GOVERNMENT FORCEFULLY takes from one who earns and hands to another who didn't. OUR federal government was NEVER intended to redistribute wealth.

Which is nonsense. The ones that starve have no means to start a revolution. Every revolution there was, was made by self-made wannabes from the mid-class (in the whole history). The fact that was uniting these people was neither altruism, nor egoism - do not get it wrong. They were fighting because of social debt they felt, no matter the consequences, and their naivity was often used. A logic of a poor and a rich person is binarly boolean. Mid-class opens the mouth all the time. Why? Poor people have no perspectives and the rich one need no.

Let's take an example. Martin Luther King. How many mid-class heros of different ethnicities did YOu see there? A whole lotta them. Why? Because of the little comfort they had to think of what really makes the difference.

That IS wealth re-distribution. The government provides for many services and that's paid for with taxes. It's called wealth redistribution. The government isn't "forcefully" taking anything from you that isn't part of your taxes. Your taxes pay for the very roads you drive on, and the schools for your kids, and the cops and the fire department, and the national parks and scientific research including medical research, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, food stamps for the poor so that we don't have hundreds of thousands of homeless people, and children without food. That's what a country with morals does. I have no idea what kind of country you want, but this isn't it. Our federal government dealt with a population of around 1 million. Not 315 Million. You can't expect everything to be the same as it was 230 years ago. Well...if you're a Conservative I guess you can. But of course they've never been accused of being in touch with reality.

NO.... that's paying for services the government provides via taxes DUHHHHHH...... It is NOT wealth RE-distribution where the government forcefully takes from one and hand to another.

I can expect the federal government to live within the confines it was created in...... The federal government was NEVER intended to handle "charity". Furthermore, the state is INCAPABLE of charity to begin with a CHARITY is voluntary......

MORAL people provide charity voluntarily. IMMORAL people attempt to shirk their responsibility to their fellow man onto a faceless government bureaucracy while attempting to FORCE others to pay for it.

You're attempting to play with semantics. All taxes redistribute wealth. The premise you offer; the government is taking your money and giving it to somebody else is false.

No you can't. Not if you live in the 21st century. But then as a *********, I'm sure you want to go back to the 18th century...but time marches on. With you or without you. The Budget of the United States today cannot function within the confines of 1791.

Charity is incapable of dealing with the population of this country. If people had to count on people like you, they'd be living under a bridge in a cardboard box and eating out of dumpsters. That's reality. No government worthy of being called one, allows its people to starve. Your idea of charity is to prevent the extension of unemployment compensation that people have paid into all their working lives to keep a roof over their head, or put gas in their car while looking for a job. Do you realize that unemployment amounts to about $1200 a month...tops. Consider the rent on an apartment. About $850/mo. Utilities..$200. How about internet? About $100. They need that for the sake of email to communicate with the outside world and find a job. Then how about food? A Car payment? Gas for the car. Insurance for the car. Now....take away the $1200/mo, and what do you do with these people? How about Charity? Do you think there's enough charity to go around to 1.7 million people? And that number grows every month. So Republicans want to deny this compensation, which these people have paid into and deserve to have. Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, John Boehner say it has to be paid for. In fact Rand Paul said we shouldn't borrow from China to do this. But we did borrow from China to launch two wars. No problem with that. See, it's really a matter of priorities. We put people before money. You put money before people. It's as simple as that.

You have no idea what moral people do. You have no concept of morality to begin with. Moral people don't allow their government to shirk the responsibility it has to it's people. We pay taxes to provide the necessary services that help people survive in a capitalistic society that by design is going to create barriers to social equality, and justice. Especially when the government IS the people. It's your idea that the government is some faceless bureaucracy that's the problem. We ARE the government. You see it as some monolithic thing. We see it as the people. So did the founders.

No they don't..... They pay for legitimate services specifically enumerated within the constitution........SOME taxes are wealth redistribution when they take from one member of society and hand to another DUHHHHHHHH.

I didn't mention anything about budget constraints Mr. Strawman.

Well of course not. Not with the almighty federal government spending trillions annually on maiming, torturing and killing hundreds of thousands of humans. :roflol:

The government indoctrination is strong with this one.... Probably one of those that bashed Bush but supported anything Obama did that one-upped Bush. :roflol:

MORAL people, first and foremost respect other people's person and property. Save your moral arguments for when you indoctrinate your kids with nanny state government.

Did I hear an arguement, that responsible government does not take the responsibility for the people it governs? Well, if so, this is not a responsible governement and it has no power. Welcome to the jungle!

Created? Yes. After that family values and what you're taught growing up separates the winners from losers. Luckily people can jump sides as they mature gain wisdom and life experience. Anyone who claims their skin color prevented them from bing successful is an idiot.

No, as you haven't offered any evidence you have any.

So.... taxes you CLAIM are so benevolent are NOT used to maim, torture and kill hundreds of thousands of citizens? Good luck winning THAT argument Mr. moral. /chuckle

Yes, but what moral people NEVER do is shirk their personal responsibility to their fellow man onto some faceless government bureaucracy like you advocate for.

If you "think" Jesus would have ANYTHING to do with this federal government, then you're ignorant about Jesus DUH.

OPPOSED BY ME??????? I'M A PACIFIST....... As all REAL followers of Jesus Christ SHOULD be.....

You're WRONG. I follow Jesus Christ's morality. YOU DON'T, clearly, so stop attempting to represent him false witness.

Who cares? I have as much contempt for republican politicians as I do democrat. They both pander to their bases while they serve their REAL masters, banks and corporations.
