It would seem the United States is evolving into something new. The traditional strengths that defined our country are being slowly eroded away while we watch. Our free press, judiciary separation, law enforcement, congressional ability, international standing and reputation, even the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are fading.
While much of this does indeed come from the top, there is another aspect to all this. We the people are letting it all happen on our watch and some are actively celebrating it with no regard for what will ensue in the aftermath. If this is allowed to reach fruition our country will be unrecognizable within a decade or so and the world will be changed dramatically.
I expect some will deny this reality, debase the messenger, ignore the signs and fall into rank like a good soldier but, it does not change my observation.

    So...I must ask the question.

Are you comfortable with all this?

Hell, no, I'm not a bit "comfortable with this".

During the past thirty years, our people have become dumbed-down, and our economy has become a completely manipulated, fictional creation of the Federal Reserve System and other central banks throughout the world.

As a people, we no longer value personal planning and preparation for meaningful, demanding, and rewarding careers, instead preferring to wallow along in a semi-distracted, simple-minded state of constant "entertainment", with ever-increasing reliance on handout welfare from the government.

That, in itself, points straight to disaster, but the situation is made far worse, and far more immediate by the fact that our opponents and adversaries are not (NOT) being twisted into the same kind of creatures that we have become -- especially since the arrival of the 21st-century.

    Predictions:

    1. The power of the Russian Federation will grow immensely during the next five years, and, in military collaboration with China, the new Sino-Russian Axis will be the most powerful force in the Eastern Hemisphere.

    2. Germany will fully assume its role as the undisputed power of the European Union, and it will achieve economic and military alliances with the Sino-Russian Axis, as Germany's dependence and reliance on the United States fades away....

    3. A carefully crafted, carefully-timed economic collapse within several more years will wreck the last vestiges of a United States dollar-denominated world economy, and as a result, the U. S. will be able to project superior power effectively only in the Western Hemisphere.

    4. Socialism at every level will further accelerate the decline and ruin of the United States, making it more vulnerable than ever to enemies, foreign and domestic.

So, why the hell would I possibly be worried for my country...?

I've feared for my country ever since Snowden revealed that Obama was spying on innocent Americans not under any investigation. At that moment, our rights were totally violated and there was no security.

Any progressive will tell you, that our country was founded upon the archaic beliefs, and biases of old European caucasions. They'll tell you that the US must abandon the founders principles in order to become a more open, and inclusive society. Our nation was, and is a country of immigrants. People fleeing tyranny, oppersion, and poverty have run to our shores for centuries. They've come here because of these same founding principles that progressives want us to abandon. But the very same archaic ideals are what guarantee them their right to voice these critisms, and provide the mechanisms for change. Progressives want to steer the country towards socialism, and despite their delusions of achieving a sort of "happy medium" between democracy and socialism, it's pure fantasy. Don't try and fix what isn't broken.

My mom came to the U.S. as an immigrant about 50 years ago (January 1967). She has seen this country get less and less free in that time, and it's just not as good of a country as it was.

I am more fearful than I ever have been. We have seen the corruption of the democratic party torn open and laid bare. We have seen the democrat party manipulate the election to BYPASS the people and choose a winner. We have seen the political elite being held to a different legal standard than everyone else. We have seen the politicization of the FBI, the IRS, the DHS, and the CIA as tools of the political elite to attack their opposition. We have seen our "free and fair media" turned to nothing but vile propaganda outlets.

We would be idiots to deny the same corruption exists on the republican side as well. We have seen the people so caught up in "us versus them" partisan identity politics games, that we have lost sight of the role of the people in keeping the corruption in check. We should ALL be united in the draining of this swamp, but we are so caught up in hatred for our opponents that we cannot do what needs be done. There should be not one incumbent left employed after the next election. Not one.

I am fearful that the snakes and alligators in this swamp are too fierce and powerful to be unseated. They have shown that they will subvert our system and appoint our leaders who are supposed to be elected, negating the ballot box. This is dangerous territory, because the ballot box is the last peaceful tool we have to send the scoundrels packing. I am more fearful than I have ever been.

I had an epiphany several years ago that the nation is undergoing an irreversible decline. That realization put me in a funk for a few months, but I gradually came to a place of acceptance. You can't fight the forces of history. So comfortable? Not really, but I've already gone through the 5 stages of grief for the US.

Don't worry tecoyah, the tide has turned. :icon_yoda: Watch 3:00 on.

If you wonder who this guy is, he is a Christian prophet who effortlessly predicted the win of Donald Trump.

Few people are comfortable with the current situation. The "progressives" have been behind this evolution for 100 years, and wise people have fought them for 100 years, but the "progressives" were subtle and smart and the masses were bought off and lulled to sleep. Over the past 10 years, people have begun to wake up.

Don't believe everything you see on CNN.

    No one else does.

Their ratings are down there with Nick at Night.

I've been waiting for the whole Crapper to go up in flames for over 30 years, so, it is what it is.

Just as many in the '60's thought the world was nearing Rapture time, then the Final Bang, we see the same now.

    Maybe it's time.

I'll make a prediction too, and it ain't a pretty one! NATO in its abject stupidity together with the sabre-rattling abetment of the Pentagon will 'accidentally' spark off an incident with Russia. China, who I'm sure is expecting this as we all are, and is more than ready for it, will come in on Russia's side (knowing that if they don't they'll be next on NATO's warmongering agenda??); Kim Jong Un will join the party by launching an oportunistic attack against the US. The US and NATO realising what an awful prospect now faces them will start deploying tactical nuclear weaponry in the now-escalating Eastern Europe front, then . . . well need I go on! I just hope against hope that my prediction is wrong.

    QFT.

NoKo or Syria surely will be Ground Zero for the next major world conflict.

God willing, any nuke exchange will be limited. Not that THAT matters much.

Or..... E.T. May show up... Then, all bets are off.

I don't think so - the provocation of Russia won't migrate south, it'll happen where it's happening.

That reminds me - I must phone home. [IMG]

Well, at least we have someone to step up for us before Mr. Hades. :giggle:

Oh, Mr. Allah will love this - America and Russia mutually destroy each other with nukes and "clearing the terrain" for the right faith to march over the face of the Earth. :rock_slayer:

My observations are a combination of multiple sources (including CNN) and are generalizations based upon national and international news and editorial. Ratings do not apply in this whatsoever and by focusing on that you indicate your own level of depth in understanding. In fact my most valued source does not actually fit into the "Ratings" game.

I feel the same exact way, and this is why I will never vote for the career politician or the one who is pushed onto us by either party. If both the parties dislike the candidate (as they did Donald Trump), then that is the person who has my vote.

I kind of like the fact that he just doesn't hesitate to tweet out his thoughts. Its a unique way of communicating with the US, and hey, at least he is honest about how he feels! That's better than the dark shadowy old Hill bag!

I would have voted for Gary Johnson, but he turned out to be pretty . . . . I don't know what I would call it, but he didn't stand of chance of winning, so I couldn't just throw my vote away in this important election, so I voted with my conscience and with my research on both candidates. Donald Trump is out there. We know about the "real" Donald Trump. Not too many surprises there. Hillary, OTOH, I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw her, and I probably couldn't even pick her up.

Gary Johnson just totally blew it on the campaign trail. How could he make so many critical errors? He must smoke too much weed or something. His brain seems a little fried.
