Will this be the next flashpoint in police/community relations? Will it lead to demonstrations? Will the behavioral issues be a factor?

Arkansas Cop Kills 16-Year-Old Aries Clark Outside Youth Center
“I never expected not to see my son again.”

A 16-year-old black teen in Arkansas was fatally shot by a cop while outside a youth treatment center.

Aries Clark was at East Arkansas Youth Services on Tuesday ― an emergency shelter for youths that his parents had sent him to for behavioral issues ― when the shooting occurred.

“I never expected not to see my son again,” the boy’s mother, Vicky Clark, told WMC. “I had saw him that Thursday, and we were trying to figure out how we were going to do therapy to get help for him.”

Arkansas State Police told the publication that an officer with the Marion Police Department shot Clark at 7 p.m., moments after arriving. The boy was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Marion Police Chief Gary Kelley declined to release information related to the shooting, saying only that two officers have been placed on paid administrative leave, according to KATV.

The Arkansas State Police declined to release more information when asked by HuffPost, citing the ongoing investigation.

Clark’s grandmother, Vickie Burks, said she was in the process of trying to get full custody of her grandson.

“I was expecting him to come home, not to be buried,” Burks told the station. “I was telling him, give yourself a little while and you’ll be home with me.”

I know you said that sarcastically but we don't know anything yet. After all, Micheal Browm turned out to have tried to take Officer Wilson's gun and then charged him.

'Tried to take cop's gun' according to the cop. The purported 'charging' occurred after the cop shot him.

Most police shooting victims die because police subscribe to the policy that dead people can't be witnesses.

Both the autopsy and evidence corroborated Wilson's story. You need to back up your claim.

    Dead people can't be witnesses.

Autopsies cannot prove he tried to grab cop's gun or that he charged the cop before he was shot.

Right. The correct attitude to take is to assume that the cop shot the kid for no reason, and that outrage is appropriate.

    Why?

Why the **** do you all people (and I mean BOTH sides) take a side immediately upon reading the headline "Cop Shoots Black".

You don't know anything. Sometimes these shootings are justified, sometimes they're not.

Yes, they can actually. They can corroborate a story. For example the gunshots in Brown were from the front and one entered the top of his skull if I remember correctly.

Brown's fingerprints on Wilson's gun indicate that he grabbed it and as for the latter, as already explained, yes they can. You have yet to prove otherwise.

The fingerprints could have been applied after death.

Focusing on the fact in that reply you gave, came off as the color translated in part to causality.

Amazing how people just start spouting platitudes and conclusions - absolutely not wanting to watch the video to know what actually happened.

"When police arrived Clark was holding a weapon, which was later found to be a BB gun."

His headstone should say died while being stupid.

That video was a rough watch. The officer recording it was pleading for the kid to drop it, you hear him talking about how he helped him a couple weeks ago, gave him a ride, that he wants to help. That was 7 long minutes of pleading for him to drop the gun.
