    Lame attack IMO

This is as stupid as McConnel saying “Obama’s will be a one term president” and Democrats throwing a hissy fit about it.

Of course Republicans want to make him a one term candidate.

Of course Democrats (Baldwin) want to “overthrow” the current administration.

People need to stop trying to dig words in to such a point, it is what the media has done yo is for forty years and it disgusts me that “normal” Americans are so quick to do the same.

What is the “little guy”? I believe one American should equal one vote. I also believe we should end FPTP, implement digital voting and police our elections better.

How so? I could be wrong but I believe he won the popular vote each time.

We don't believe that and nor did the Founding Father's. They believed in the Electoral College system, not mob rule. This has been covered more thoroughly than Hillary Clinton's rigging of the primary election.

When will you lefties stop trying to change the Constitution of the United States of America?

”Everyone should have a voice” means one person = one vote.

You realize there is an amendment process correct? It’s almost like they *gasp* knew times would change and the constitution would need to change with it!
One of the framers even wanted to go as far as having the constitution rewritten every 19 years.

Yea and we are not going to change the election rules because you are triggered over a lost election. The process would never pass an amendment anyway because it would lead to the end of the United States.

    We don't want mob rule.

No it doesn’t, this is LITERALLY the same argument as went on during the framers’ time.

If you want to change it, sure, let’s have a debate and see what works.

But you guys are fabricating reality when you act like today is all that different.

Things were set up to give power to the overall majority, while allowing certain areas to have their say and not be drowned out.

There are LOTS of people who think the big states have an unfair advantage. Meanwhile, America is simply so giant that people in California have zero clue how to successsfully legislate for Nebraska and same for the other way around.

Direct vote would cause states to break off and rightfully so. If we want to change things, how about we simply strip Presidents of the ridiculous power they have in the first place?

Having a popularity contest for a person with as much power as the president has is the dumbest thing ine could ever think of.

Givei g the States more power to control their borders, with Federal government actions controlling international trade, border security and military would be an amazing step

Enabling direct vote of POTUS would lead to the end of the United States? Jesus, you heard this gem here folks.

    Alarmist much?

And for the record I hated both the “choices” - if you can even call them that - that were forced on the public by the two party system. So I am not “triggered” over a lost election. It was lost long before we the people the states voted.

Asking people to vote is not insane, and you know it. You're sensationalizing and you know it. Asking people to vote is not a call to violence.

Youre offended at a word. Dont you see the irony here? Lolol

You're working awful hard to explain why "overthrow" means nothing.

Do you see the irony here?

It seems obvious to me that the pubs are preparing eventually to violently prohibit anyone from voting. Why else would they be implying that Baldwin made a violent statement when he most emphatically went out of his way not to, saying in three separate words that the process should be orderly, formal and lawful? and then saying everyone should vote. They are trying to say that anyone opposing them, whether it is by legal and nonviolent means or not is, in fact, advocating violence.

"Overthrow" is what we do and have done fairly regularly in American politics. It's what the Constitution was made to enable us to do in a peaceful, ,orderly and non-violent manner.

I find the irony here amazing. It is not the Democrats who have been advocating for the "right" to be heavily armed so as to be able to VIOLENTLY overthrow the government for several decades now

You have Obama as your avatar.

A little more self awareness might be a good thing.

The Left do that all the time. They will take one word Trump or a Republican says, twist the meaning, and make their whole argument based on it.

Awareness of what Obama inherited vs Trump would be good for you. Trump inherited the best economy and international order of nearly any President ever. Obama inherited a top 5 worst situation ever. Thank goodness Obama was our president in such a time of need.
