Are you saying that’s not the agenda of your side? The only other side is my side.

lol... you are ignorant to what they were espousing. They wanted us to have the same standard arm (gun) as the Light Infantryman, and we don't even have that. You haven't read the Federalist Papers.

He threw out crackpot theories because he is a crackpot. (hint: all crackpot theories are not crackpot conspiracy theories. Did you know that black holes do not conspire? The more you know...) Also, I never made any such ridiculous claim, so attributing Lemon's BS to me is some vile projection.

    :bored:

Beto has been "Toast" for MONTHS.

Is that article supposed to be "News"?

    What is Next?

A thread "sourced" by the WA Examiner telling us that the Sun Rises in the East? :bored:

BTW--The OP Thread Title should be:

'Pretty much toast': Beto O' Rourke faces his Alamo in Texas debate

I have no idea what side you are talking about.

Oh wait, of course. You believe in the either with you or against you scenario. No wonder why you love Hannity and Tucker so much. LOL

I'm an okay chess player, but I find it boring as hell to watch. Lots of games are like that, and to me, most sports.

Uugh. I couldn't imagine life without sports. Well, sports and Dogs. Life would suck so much without both!

I'm either with you or I'm a deplorable white nationalist racist who needs to sit in the back of the bus. I just covered your entire party.

I've got friends who are like that. You can never get them away from the TV on a Sunday (at least). I wonder how much of that is just inertia left over from the time of TV. Lots of people in the younger generations just never got into TV, having on-demand internet entertainment. I know you can watch games on the internet, but watching football doesn't seem to be as much of an institution as it was 20+ years ago.

Baseball lost me when the greedy and selfish players went on strike for the World Series. I drifted away from the NHL when I could no longer watch the Devils. The NFL lost me with the kneelers. And even golf lost me when the talking heads talked more about the game than showing it. Basketball isn’t a sport.

UNFORCED ERROR: Beto O’Rourke hands GOP, NRA golden ticket. Unintentional honesty will do that.

Sports is the only reason why I haven't cut the cable yet. NFL, NHL, NBA do not have their own subscription services like all other networks are starting to do.

Hey, I hear that the going rate to buy an NFL team and stadium is upwards of $3 billion. If you invested that much and only profited $100 million a year it would take you 30 years to break even. Still think that those white owners make a killing? Research the story of the Jacksoville Jaguars owner. From a poor immigrant that stayed in the local YMCA for $3 a night to becoming a self made billionaire and that was before buying the Jaguars. By the way, every one of his players love him.

I'm more partial to the Hispanic place kicker never getting touched and making millions over a 17 year career.

Since NFL teams require a 53-man minimum roster, hundreds of millions of dollars are allocated towards a player budget. While some of the highest-paid members (again, typically quarterbacks) receive multi-year contracts for millions of dollars per year, the average salary of an NFL player is only $1.9 million per year. On average, retired players receive an annual pension check of about $43,000. Now don't forget that the 30 person coaching staff, the 40 person corporate and player personnel staff and the stadium groundskeeping staff needs to get paid. Oh, then we have the entire team medical staff. The general physician, eye doctor, dentist, then all the specialist. I'm sure that the MRI machine and all the rest of the equipment wasn't free. Then what do you think an away game cost? Airline, hotel, chartered transportation with police escort. I'm guessing the average team spends about half a million on traveling expenses for one game

Sports seems to be the only thing keeping the cable companies in business these days.

I sense that you believe being glued to a couch for hours at a time, watching millionaires who don’t know your name do things that have no impact on your life, family or country, is something you find invaluable. Not me.

I think playing sports is more important than watching them unless there is some sort of financial interest in the game (gambling)

I played hockey, football, baseball, pool and golf. But basketball, never, because it’s not a sport.

I played football, basketball and bowling. Although like Pool, Bowling isn't a true sport because you can be drunk and still play both well.

I loved playing pool. If there was ever something I was better than 99.5% of the people at, it was pool. It’s pure physics and strategy. Unfortunately, being in the .5 percentile isn’t good enough. Earl Strickland was my idol. Bowling, never threw a curved ball unless it was a mistake, but I made good use of the gutter.
