I was simply pointing out that he was neither scribe or Pharisee.

I should have added Hillel and Gamaliel were 'Houses', i.e. schools as well as people, so not necessarily learning directly from the teachers themselves.

The ruling class in Israel used Greek. Commoners didn’t know it. Matthew probavly did since he was a tax collector. The other apostles and Jesus would not.

It was more common than Hebrew, by then pretty a secret language used only by the priests and scribes. Commoners wouldn't know it at all. Neither would 'tainted' Jews; the Babylonians created an extensive list of 'racial purity' laws by the Christian era, adopted later on by the inventors of rabbinical Judaisms after the Bar Kokhba revolt's failure.

'The ruling class' was historically always more literate than commoners everywhere in the world, not just among Jews.

Matthew 19:16-17 Jesus is asked "what shall I do". The questioner assumes there is something good he can do to obtain eternal life. Jesus explains there is no one good but One. So then he goes on to explain that if you want to persist in the idea there are "good things you can do" then "keep the commandments". That is impossible.

There is absolutely NO contradiction here. Jesus explained how to obtain eternal life in John 3:16. Paul elaborated that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
Even in the Church today there is a misunderstanding and heresy that you can earn your way to eternal life. Jesus made that point very clear. It is a point found through out the New Testament. Salvation is a free gift to anyone who humbles himself enough to believe Jesus paid the price.

Even gentiles are victims of human sin nature as are Mormons.

Im not sure where you get your info from but you should check its sources. Aramaic was the language spoken by commoners in Israel at the time of Christ. Hebrew was definitely used by the scribes and Pharisees just as it is by Rabbis today. Greek was the language of the ruling class and Latin was spoken by the Romans. There is nothing debatable about what I am saying. It’s pretty common knowledge.

No it's two different administrations. Jesus lived during the Law Administration and fulfilled it. On the day of Pentecost the Grace Administration began. Paul was responsible for making the new known. No contradiction.

Why do you suppose Jesus didn’t make this new administration known?

You should learn to read. That way you won't need to invent these silly strawmen.

Because not even he knew it. It wasn't revealed until it was revealed to the Apostle Paul. Jesus only knew what the Scriptures said and what God chose to reveal to him.

He said "There is only One who is good", meaning only He was sinless, and the guy was asking him how he can be saved through works. No one can keep the commandments, so when He says to keep them to be saved He meant it's impossible, except for Himself.

There would have been no need for Jesus to die on the cross if people could save themselves by "works", but He came because it was impossible.

So you're an advocate of universalism?

No, of course not. Where did you get that idea?

People are saved by faith. See below, where it says "everyone who believes". Lot of people don't believe, and reject salvation, and God won't force them to it

" so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life" - John 3:16

That message is repeated to no end in the NT.

Universalists believe everyone is universally saved even if they go to their graves cursing God.

    Universalism is a Satanic deception.

And all this from a book written by men. 'Matthew' wrote his book about 5 decades after the Jewish preachers death. In one case it is said that 5000 men, women and children gathered to hear him. If you've done any outdoor speaking you must know that a speaking device is necessary. Did they have one in those days? Look at the verses previous regarding where the crowd came from. on foot for many miles distant - having heard of him. On ther local Radio/The sermon on the Mount is 3 chapters long and yet 'Matthew' remembers it 5 decades later - without the aid of a recording device.
Go back to the time of Jesus the Jewish preacher. Much of what is written needs to be interpreted in terms of the time. In doing so you will find the Nativity stories are contradictory to the times and to each other and frankly impossible.

The holy spirit can carry Jesus message to the masses. And some people have photographic memories. My Brother and a Foreman I worked under had that gift. Combined with the revelatory nature of the holy spirit, it is all quite probable.

    It's written in Romans 16.

25Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26But now is made manifest,

This just isn't a reasonable direction for criticizing the Bible.

In your opinion, what changed that the message was kept secret and was then manifest?

    This is a major change.

I don't see how this is related to the coming of Jesus, as that wasn't kept secret.

Sorry, I apparently misunderstood your use of the word "works". I thought you were saying that a person didn't have to do anything to be saved.

You really are indoctrinated. I had to use a speaker to speak to a crowd of 200. And no-one can remember 3 chapters of a book verbatim over 5 decades. If Matthew had written 'his' gospel he would have been in his dotage. Most people cannot remember last weeks sermon, let alone 5 decades later.
