And yet the Navy has never lost a ship to sickness. They certainly weren't about to lose this one. They know what they are doing and history proves it. Not everyone has to agree to the method but it's obviously effective and doesn't require running to the press or compromising national security...

Our Liberals are disagreeing with you that the Navy knows what they're doing!

Yes. He was getting help. He violated national security and lost the confidence of his commanders, end of story. Trump had nothing to do with it.

Sure he didn’t, if anything he has proven that he leaves important decisions and recommendations up to people he has appointed. /s

I could care less what the sailors did they are not in command nor have the responsibility to protect our entire Pacific fleet and western seaboard and national security and if you don't think China and the Chinese military is actively searching for ways and planning for ways to take a military advantage because of the virus that THEY originated I got a bridge to sell you.

They didn’t need to be sacrificed. Them being allowed to spread a contagion does not protect the ship in any way shape or form.

Again you ignore that the Navy has been dealing with things like this, and worse, for over 200 years...

I don’t normally answer a question with a question but here I am going to with an extreme example.

If someone is given an order to launch nuclear weapons if a computer indicates an attack is imminent, should they ignore that order if they have knowledge or information that the computer or it’s programing is faulty?

“If someone”? It depends on who’s giving the order and if the order comes through the expected channel... right?

Soviet commanders gave the order to a technician. Should he have just followed their order and nuked the US? Even though he knew they — and the system — was wrong?

Oh so you believe China is looking for a way to provoke an unstable man that is desperately looking for a way to bring his poll numbers up? They are interested in us destroying ourselves, not a sea invasion.

This belongs in the conspiracy section

    245 years actually.
We have extenuating circumstances at this moment however.

I said what I believe you don't get to make it up and your denying that China would seek ways to take advantage of this militarily and territoriality is quote naive. Glad you are not a part of our military planning.

Yes just what our adversaries would love to take advantage of. That you seem to think China and it's military are some kind of benevolent entities and have our best interest at heart is just amazing. What folly.

Oh stop with the inane attempts to compare it to a disjointed scenario.

Should that person announce to our enemies that our computers are down?

What makes what you believe any more valid than what I believe? A: nothing

No, I do not believe China wants a military conflict with us anymore than we want one with them.
Our allies — if any remain — would attack them, our fleets would attack, we would likely launch nuclear payloads against them. They want to be the biggest and the last man standing. Military engagement is not the way to do it.

It isn’t disjointed, it actually happened.

If removing 0.2% of our Navy Ships (which doesn’t include other watercraft/submersibles, satellites, drones, or ships we do not know about) is our system being “down”, then we have much greater issues.

Yea Biden is a disgrace. The Commander jumped the chain of command. There's a proper way to handle that situation without causing mass panic. He did not handle this correctly. He was rightly removed from his post. Biden is a frickin idiot

And China doesn't test us and push us at every chance they get as they try to expand their sphere of influence and control, what naivety you show. Why don't we have every commander of every military unit Tweet out what is the status of their forces right now?
