I agree! The Hunter Biden situation should be thoroughly investigated and if any wrongdoing was done, should be handled in an appropriate manner.
In fact, we should look into ALL cases of possible corruption involving high ranking US officials and their kin and close acquaintances, which should include the Trump administration (Jared and Ivanka Kushner, Don Jr.), Obama's kids, Bush's relatives, the Clintons, etc.
We should look into how much Jimmy Carter's brother, Billy, made from sponsoring "Billy Beer".
And all money made from appearances, rallies, sales of goods, etc. that stem from said individual making money from being a high ranking official.
Look into all of it or ****.

These latest revelations has me cheering on a Republican full investigation on the Biden's family business affairs. Everyone of those listed as being visited by this guy, while Joe was VP, should be made to testify.

 

We mostly have not. Why? Because ALL politicians have family and friends, whether by design or not, benefit from their family member or close friends being in politics. Just like good jobs at good places to work very often have family and friends working there.
It happens in all workplaces in all places.
How much we tolerate it seems to be partisan driven.
Did Hunter get a job he probably would not have gotten because of who his daddy is? Probably.
Would Ivanka have gotten her patents approved in record time if her daddy wasn't president? Probably not.
Would Billy Carter have made money from a beer company if his brother wasn't president? Nope.
Would Hillary and Bill Clinton have been successful at running a global charity if Bill was never president? Probably not.
Would Jared Kushner's business have gotten a $2 billion investment from the Saudi's if daddy in law hadn't put him in charge of operations in the middle east? Highly doubtful.
It is a function of the real world, people just disagree on how much is too much, and then add in the "partisan goggles".

I admit that most of the investigations to get to the "root of these things" is political. The grandstanding by the party with the majority is not going to stop with the political ****-shows.
However, making deals, financially profiting by giving influence to foreign governments is not something our top politicians should ever be doing. Do we know for sure that Biden isn't compromised? This is my genuine concern. What did that drug addled moronic son of his say and do to get that kind of money out of China?

I believe Hunter's messages from his laptop that confirm Joe gets half his income.

 

I believe that after Giuliani and company had their hands on it before anyone else got a look at it, and a forensic computer expert exam revealed that some of the data may have been manipulated (ie, emails changed, altered, added, etc), I would have to see more to come to the conclusions some others are.
Anyone who takes this information and, at this point, assumes the worst of the Bidens, is just guessing supported by the convenient amount of data that was gleaned from the laptop hard drive that was conveniently left at a computer shop and the owner conveniently and very unusually examined the contents. There are red flags all over this.
Question: how many of you have your emails (and texts) on your hard drive in your computer?
Also, ask your IT person next time you talk to them and ask them if they take the time to sift through a random hard drive that was abandoned at their business.
Hint: they don't. If they are going to try and use the hard drive again, they'll just reformat and load a new OS.
Tip: reformatting doesn't wipe out the info on the hard drive. It can still be extracted as long as the hard drive is physically capable of running.

He's starting to make the Clintons look like the Cleavers. As much as I'd like to see him drop-kicked out the back door before 2024, I'm reminded of Richard Nixon's famous remark about how Spiro Agnew was his guarantee against assassination. I don't even want to think about President Harris. Worst veep of my lifetime, and I'm old enough to remember Dan Quayle.

 

Without being privy to the visits (at least some of them Joe wasn't even in Washington) and what was discussed, I can't say there was anything wrong. Part of the problem is that in the last few years, I've seen many articles with headlines that were taking some facts and spinning them to look different than the cold hard truth.
Both sides have been doing it. Journalists do it to get attention.
Having said that, when Joe said he never knew anything about any of Hunter's business dealings, he was not being very transparent.
Even though I haven't seen absolute proof of it, it will eventually surface and it will show Joe to be "less than genuine", or, in other words, lying.
He should have been upfront about it, but it isn't against the law to lie. If it was, Trump would be under the prison. IMO, Trump supporters should not make a big deal about other politicians telling some lies. Content could change that opinion, though.
To be fair, we all tell what we call white lies sometimes. How was the party? Even though it was lame, someone might say it was awesome because that's the image they want to portray. I don't like it (lying), but if we eliminated all people who told lies, well..................

 

I realize how difficult it is not to do a whataboutism when discussing politics. I'll cut you some slack on it though. Putting it aside, lying is usually a smoking gun that there's fire smoldering somewhere. Other than the business affairs of Hunter I can think of no reason for this man to be visiting Joe's staff (and at least once with the man himself). Most visits of this type aren't held to talk about the weather. 27 times! Let that sink in and then with a straight face tell me Joe wasn't up to no good. Even if it was just financially benefiting his son there's still the conflict of interest element involved here. We have a right to know if our POTUS has been compromised by a foreign entity. Hell, they are still investigating Trump over foreign influence in his campaigns. Why not show the same interest in Joe Biden's affairs?

 

I agree with you, we should hold all political representatives to the same criterion, regardless of political party or persuasion.

To some extent some things need to be kept secret for the sake of National security. I can't imagine visits by Hunter's business partner would fit under that umbrella. Do you?

If the Republicans win back Congress I'm now strongly favoring a full investigation into this matter with each one visited made to testify under oath as to what was discussed. Agreed?

 

Biden proclaims unequivocally, both that he has never spoken to Hunter regarding his business dealings AND that Hunter has done nothing illegal. If nothing else the crack and hooker videos prove thats not accurate. I dont doubt that Joe has never spoken to Hunter about his crack and hookers, hard to believe hes never spoken to Hunter about all his business dealings.
