I agree. Big Bird's not in any real significant danger. Neither is PBS. But if the democrats are smart they'll start acting like he is.

If we're going to have mini-corporatist offshoots from state to state then we should say "(*)(*)(*)(*) it, go hard or go home" and to Kucinich's route of single payer with the government as a Costco figure.

I really don't want any of that, but this half measure fence sitting bull(*)(*)(*)(*) your guys keep thrusting on us is depressing, costly, and stupid.

You've got to be straight with the American people. Obama made that promise well before the stock market crash. Most Americans would understand that that "Cut the deficit in half" prediction was thrown out the window on that day.

Big Bird is awesome but no one cares that much when there are no jobs.

Both candidates are claiming they'll create jobs. It's overwhelming for a lot of people to decide which one actually will.

So, in other words, they'll continue lying and fearmongering as usual to fool their gullible sheep. I gotta hand it to you, the idea has merit and will probably work.

Jesus, trying to switch the topic from an ass whipping to Big Bird as if Romney is now in crisis because if it? What will I see next?

It's politics. Both sides do it and the only way to stop it is to make everyone in the country smart enough to see it.

There are like 40 threads about Romney whooping Obama's ass. No one's hiding from it. I was one of the first people on this forum with the opinion that Obama did terribly.

Oh and by the way, I'm pretty sure proposing that Big Bird turn a profit is flat out BLASPHEMY in the liberal Bible, you filthy capitalist pig.

Not really. One has a record of failure when it comes to job creation, the other has a record of success.

While I am a bit old to care about Big Bird I have to say that the idea he turns a profit is silly. He is on PBS. They don't sell advertising time.

Yes. That's the conservative side of the story. There are two sides and both sides are convincing people. In fact it seems the liberal side is still ahead at the moment. So it's not unrealistic to assume that more of the remaining undecideds will be convinced by liberal arguments as well.

I'm an outsider looking in. I don't really consider myself a democrat because some democrats do things I do not support and I keep myself informed enough to vote on a person to person basis.

That would obviously change if PBS is cut. We may even start seeing shows like this to boost ratings:

I think she was suggesting that without government subsidies, some investor or investors would step in and fully commercialize him. However, your assertion is absolutely correct as far as I can tell.

I'm glad to hear you say that. And don't get me wrong, if I didn't find something of value in this thread I wouldn't have given a post. But Big Bird? That is funny. I wondered last night if anyone would pick it out as a point of topic. Thanks Bill. I think I needed the diversion as much as you did.

I'm wondering when we will see Big Bird with a Palin bulls eye on it. Do you think this will evolve into a full out yellow blitz with a cartoon where Romney is killing BB with an automatic weapon?
