The Power of the Executive vest in A President.

He sets the policy. He can set the policy on drug enforcement, anti-trust etc.

Sorry...that's well within his Constitutional authority

The left hasn't thrown a worthy idea in to the ring yet :) All they are credited with is a failed propaganda campaign! The adds alone are gonna smoke the left and the economy will drive a stake thru the heart of any Demo that's willing to be trashed in the next election cycle..

But ya, we shall see ;)

If the economy keeps rolling, it will definitely be a plus for Trump, but that is a big if. He might be playing Russian Roulette (no pun intended) with the Chinese right now. Also, he can not control the economy. It could tank anytime just like under Bush in 98.

Wanting a president to serve in office, where those he is to govern soundly rejected him is unamerican.

I remember when 400 US Marines got killed in Lebanon and I don’t remember Democrats in the house Trashing Reagan and Secretary Shultz. The Benghazi deal was a purely political stunt in anticipation of her being the Democratic nominee. The email deal was and is a chickencrap political stunt too.

I can see why you are a conservative, why you like Trump. You ignore everything that is good, and gorge on what is the worst, and usually in the most dishonest way.

Homelessness is a national problem. Quite a few of those who end up on the streets of LA came from places like Dogpoop, Nebraska and Middle Nowhere, Kansas, where there is no opportunity. They make their way to California, hoping to find their fortune. That is what California is and always has been. More than just about any other state, it is the state where dreams can come true. It worked for gold diggers, it worked for Hollywood, it worked for the music industry, it worked for the high tech world. California is the American dream.

Ya ya, I have been to Porterville and my Mother and father in law have a nice A-frame in the Sequoia Crest and live in Springville! I always pack a couple bottles of VISINE® whenever I'd visit them! At least here when I go to Jackson hole it doesn't smell like Southern California unless I'm drinking at the Cowboy bar ;)

The best view of California is when you're east bound on I80 or north bound on I15 as you rise above the gray smog that it sits under :)

You know, if you talk to skid row bums, you'll see that many of them are conservatives who let their drinking get the better of them.

Well that may be :) But it's kind of weird that all the really rich Californians are buying land all around intermountain west and high desert.. Must be something they like out here and dislike there :)

Time to get back on topic.

These quotes come from a sworn affidavit submitted by the conman's hand picked AG, Billy the Bagman, regarding Don's efforts to block the AT&T-Time Warner merger.

The DOJ's interference...."was inconsistent with decades with settled anti-trust law and the DOJ's own internal merger guidelines."
He wrote the DOJ's objections seemed to be based on "the President's prior public animus towards CNN and the merger."
He wrote the legal position was "the product not of a well-versed substantive analysis, but rather political or other motivation."

The Making of the Fox News White House
    https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/03/11/the-making-of-the-fox-news-white-house

The New Yorker article reports Don pressured your's and my DOJ, not his DOJ, to block the merger because he didn't like the coverage he was getting from CNN.

NYT reporter Peter Baker notes in a tweet from Monday.........
"Worth noting too: the president of the United States just called for an economic boycott of one of the country's largest telecommunications firm as a way of pressuring a media organization to cover him in a way that he approves of."

Here's a good review of the entire matter.

George Conway: ‘Grounds for Impeachment’ If Trump Tried to Block AT&T Merger

.......no one is taking about because the other impeachable offenses are getting all the headlines.

The impeachment of Clinton was dicey at best. What has that to do with anything?

We in LA live in one of the largest counties size wise in the country. We also have one of the largest populations in the country. As in all large west coast cities there is a large homeless population due to the great weather. For every little space inhabited by these poor downtrodden people there are hundreds of square miles of great clean interesting neighborhoods, some of the nicest beaches in America or anywhere, mountain hiking trails, and a very interesting and beautiful mix of people from around the country and around the world. I love my home town.

It seems that many of these California and LA haters go searching for homeless encampments, dirty areas, needles and other squalor whenever they come here. Many of these homeless are mentally ill or addicted to drugs or alcohol and they definitely need help. My new US Congresswoman, Katy Hill was an advocate for the homeless and knows a lot about the problem. It definitely needs addressing but to sit back from wherever you are and trash my home town because of the homeless problem is petty and chickensh*t in my opinion.

LA is definitely one of the great cities in the world. I have seen it grow and change over the years but it has been my experience that more once trashy neighborhoods have turned into nice clean beautiful places than Vice versa. Echo Park, Boyle Heights, Venice, Mar Vista, San Fernando, West LA, Silverlake and countless more. I have been driving and hanging out in this city for 54 years. It is the City of the Angels.

It’s astounding to me that a so called “conservative” would openly advocate for a totally unamerican principle as having a person elected to the highest office in the world in which the people soundly rejected at the voting booth.
