It all depends on what gun that he bought. If it was a Ruger or Smith & Wesson or Winchester I would agree it was a fine choice. But now if he bought a high point or a Jimenez it would be my opinion that he wasted his money on a piece of garbage!

oh I agree, many own guns, and they are beneficial in many ways

I also agree, not the gun's fault, it's the person that bought the gun's fault, had he not bought the gun, the victim would be alive today as well as him not in jail

he was intoxicated with the power of holding a gun in his hands

some people can't handle alcohol, some can't handle guns - many can handle them just fine

Smith revolvers yes, ruger revolvers yes, ruger/smith semis feel like stamped turds to me!
At least each of us can pick what works well. That’s funny!

A friend of mine once had a Kel-Tec bullpup pump 12 gauge. I asked him how many rounds it held perhaps 20?

He answered with an incredible and unbelievable number of 41. I thought he was more full of s*** than the stuffing and the Christmas turkey but it was true.

12 gauge shorties.... I had never seen those before that day. 20 in each mag tube and One in the chamber. Talk about gettin her done!

As I noted. He came out running with his gun because he saw a young black guy walking on the sidewalk minding his own business.

It's utter BS, since "past description given by Waters to authorities appeared to contradict this claim". So this is just him lying around.

And his victim tried to run away, which caused him to shoot. You aware this is all on tape? By the way? That the red neck claims he thought the guy was armed, because headphones look like a gun... is just lying. In no way are you going to sell me that nonsense.

Fact remains: he thought a young black guy was a criminal, and so ran after him with his gun out. And than he shot a person running away from him. Do note: I'm dropping the obvious lies from the red neck.

he’s totally right! Mine holds 15 standard and twice that with 12 shorts at a small loss in muzzle velocity. For room clearing with a reflex optic nothing gets close. There’s no combat reload for that twin tube system, but if I run dry after all that, dropping it and moving to the next option is fine by me!

I’m gonna wager the gun that idiot tried to use was a Taurus. I don’t know why, but I want to know!

If you can't get it done with 41 rounds of 12 gauge then you're probably in the wrong war or something!

But you know what they say about necessary and vital equipment.... It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it!

Which is obviously not the same thing as saying that he believed that the stranger could be one of the suspects who broke into his car and stole his garage door openers solely because he was black. That italicized portion is the bit you're making up whole-cloth.

He shot the first black man he saw who looked nothing like the description of any of the thieves he previously gave. Clearly he thought that any black man out in the nighttime is a thug. He could well be a member of this forum

You fabricated that ridiculous scenario. Since you have zero understanding of weapons how much does that affect these imaginary events?

why make up something you “clearly” could not know about his state of mind? Is it because you’re out of your element so far that you’re recreating a Python sketch?

His appearance of being a young black guy, is the only thought running through the red necks mind, thinking it's a burgalar.
The red neck previous gave a description. That young black guy doesn't even fit it.

How do you know the guy is a "redneck"?

Why not just call him a honky peckerwood cracker while you're at it?

It seems fitting and it seems you got a problem using a condescending term for a person who committed an obvious hate crime.

As per usual you have no evidence this was a hate crime. Just more virtue signaling.

So because he committed what is perceived to be a hate crime you go ahead and stereotype him based on race....

How come it's always a hate crime when a black person is a victim but when a black person commits violent crimes against the white person it's not?

Well I know that the US gun death rate is massively higher than that of other first world countries. It's hilarious that you think that you are superior because you have a gun that anyone in your country can buy. I see from the posts above that you like playing with your tool and comparing it with the tools of other people for size.

Why don't you suggest a reason why he ran out at 11 at night and shot a black man in the back of his leg who did not look anything like the suspects he previously described other than being black and who was trying to get away from the nutter? Try and defend the murder attempt if you can

lol, you can’t hide your ignorance of weapons and their use and the law behind pedantic insults.

I’m not, and no one is “superior” due to the weapons they own. They ARE superior in that having actual working knowledge of a thing beats having a head deeply embedded in an *** on a topic while broadcasting that fact to the world.
There was a time when people felt shame because they were so uneducated on a topic.
    Not in your case, clearly.

now, this particular person saw what he thought was someone who broke into his car. He was in the wrong. He should be charged. He made a terrible choice. I’ve mentioned in this thread he made a mistake.

Now run along and opine on more topics for which an education is never a prerequisite.

The only thing that is perceived, is that red neck thinking that a random black young man who was minding his own business, who he never saw before, was a burglar. And so he came running out of his house, with a gun and used it. That's indeed where the curtain falls. Such people should get life behind bars. You could have been next, if black. Let that one sink in.

    whataboutism.
