    And here we go.

DNC Offers #BlackLivesMatter a Town Hall, but Organization Says It Wants a Debate

Their motto is good, "We deserve substance, not rhetoric"

Actually guys, y'all deserve a cup check.

Yup. I seriously doubt MLK would approve of the BLM crew and their tactics any more than he approved of Huey Newton's crew and their tactics.

They made it that way when they asked "Do black lives matter, or do all lives matter?"

That question to the DNC debate candidates spun it into a choice for everyone to make.

There should be a specific city or even state donated to them then, where they can segregate themselves. I'm all for it. We're better off without race dividers like them.

    Blaming others yields no fruit.

soon as the right starts with things like "It's a typical left wing hate group run by the communist party" they have lost all credibility

Illegal Mexican immigrants outperform American blacks. And in a couple of decades Hispanics will be the majority of the US populous.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time with this but I suggest that you do research on the leaders and the origin of the movement and their stated goals. It started after Trayvon, not after Brown and you're dealing with an educated leader who has demonstrated passion but inexperience. I would say that she is taking the wrong approach, in response to her interpretation of some painful events in her life and theories that she has read about tactics used in movements.

Cullors is a Fulbright scholar who graduated from UCLA. She studied religion and philosophy. The Trayvon incident, the Brown incident, etc. have resonated with her for personal reasons, which she talks about online. It has nothing to do with President Obama. All it took was a quick Google search for me to find this out. By the way, she also describes herself as queer. That's all I'm going to provide. It's easy to research on Google to get an understanding of their motives, tactics and the reason given for the chosen the hashtag, instead of making ridiculous assumptions like Obama caused it.

It would've been more meaningful if it said "All lives matter", which they so vehemently oppose. I think many Americans wanted to move to a post-racial society, hence the election of the President. But what we've found, in no part less to the damaging propaganda in our country is that we're more divided than ever.

And criminal organizations like BLM do all the more to divide us.

Then they have gone to the wrong group of human shielding SJWs.

The DNC will let these racists have their moment to spout their message of hate ...then go back to propagating the quality of life that relegates Blacks to poverty and crime all while blaming "White Republicans".

"Communist" is not a term frequently used in US current political discourse.

He's felt a need to personally comment on every incident related to blacks being attacked by whites often when investigations haven't even been completed yet.

Aah, you forget the prime requisite, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." -- George Orwell

This has become an allegory and dystopian antithesis of law and order. Then again the pendulum has swung and racism has raised it's head once again, this time against the haves by the have nots.

A considerable amount in the African-American Community are outraged at what the police are doing to them. They are a minority and they do have a legit complaint. If what is happening in current day America were to happen in South Africa where Whites make up an estimated 25% of the population, there would most likely be a "White Lives Matter" organization.

You're right about the spin from some people but do you believe that most people realize that black lives matter and all lives matter are not mutually exclusive?

Do you have any links showing that BLM is funded by George Soros?

BLM...bad...based on the false assumption that most folks DON'T think black lives matter...which is a lie of course. Not to mention it got its head of steam from yet another (hands up don't shoot) lie. I guess they figure if they lie enough it will magically become truth.

The real truth is that SOME blacks in SOME neighborhoods behave very badly and kill each other in ever increasing numbers. BLM should address this CULTURAL problem instead of trying to blame everyone else.

Meh, they're pretty one dimensional, which leads to allot of valid criticisms.

They made a martyr out of Michael Brown, after a grand jury and federal investigation proved he was responsible for his own demise.
They advance a narrative that cops are overwhelmingly killing unarmed black men, when statistically speaking, black men are more likely to be killed by other black men.

Some in the movement seem to be ok with using violent vitriolic rhetoric, which turns allot of people off from any valid complaints they might have. The irony is, that they fail to realize that they're just adding to the cycle of violence that results in the death, and incarceration of black men.

If they cut out the crazies like rabid black nationalist, and campus Marxist rejects, and focused on criminal justice reform, along with the violence that plagues their own community, they might be a positive force for change.

Incredibly bad. They are incredible racists, yet insist that they speak for blacks, which just makes things even worse for blacks.

It's like if the aryan brotherhood said that they speak for whites. Sorry, but NO! The AB doesn't speak for whites, BLM doesn't speak for blacks, and they need to be told this by blacks themselves. Blacks need to stand up and say "NO!".

If they don't, it's going to make things even worse for blacks because their silence does result in consent.

"BAD" does not even come close to describing it. ANY group that claims superiority over ANY OTHER group is nowhere near anything good for the country.

It seems that there are much fewer videos of cops killing black citizens lately. I think that this is because of the BLM movement. In that way, it's good, and I think this will eventually benefit everyone. I think it already served it's purpose.BLM has been seen as being anti-white and anti-cop and now has a bad name -- it may be doing more harm than good now.

She probably got her academic creds by chanting politically correct bs.

    Affirmative action in action.

See what we get for that?

    A racist with impact.

I think the BLM movement like so many other things in our society is magnified by the press and blown way out of proportion.

I just don't seem to have problems with blacks and I live in Alabama. We seem to get along pretty well.
Showing a little respect for other people seems to go a long way.

Thugs and hoods need to go to jail and need to be taken off the streets. A lot of people in black neighborhoods would agree. They are the ones getting their homes invaded and seeing innocent lives being taken on the streets. They also have to put up with drug dealers and other thugs killing others just for a snub or a false feeling of disrespect.

On the plus side, the whole "War on Cops" propaganda has been completely debunked. BLM has had an effect and while it may be doing some harm, it's creating a broader movement to quell the growing police state. The only question is whether authoritarians, whether progressive or conservative, will willingly take power way from the police.
