Another hate-crime hoax by a black teacher is making headlines today.

A group of 'minority' students were taken to the Boston Museum on May 16th. The teacher said that when the students entered the museum they were told the rules of the museum which includes no running or raucous behavior, no touching the exhibits,
no food, no drinking, and according to the teacher, "no watermelon".
However, some people have disputed the claim about the watermelon, saying that the museum worker actually said no food, no drinking, no water bottles.
According to the Washington Post: Though the museum typically allows guests to carry closed water bottles, school groups are advised that no drinks are allowed in the galleries.
Let's be logical. In this hyper-vigilante world against any kind of slight that may make 'minorities' feel bad, who in their right mind would say, "no food, no drink, no watermelons" especially someone working in a public place like a museum? Doesn't make sense.
The teacher also complained that the security guard closely scrutinized the black and brown kids, but did not scrutinize the white students nearly as much.
However she unwittingly describes a few incidences that may have earned her students special attention from the guard:
"A student who was briefly dancing to music playing inside the MFA’s "Gender Bending Fashion" exhibition later told Lamy she heard someone say “it’s a shame that she is not learning and instead stripping.” Another student said that the comment was, "I hope you're paying attention so you don't end up a stripper." I don't know if this is true, but seeing black children dancing around in a museum is bound to earn them some negative attention from other museum goers.
There was also an incident of a black student touching an exhibit. The guard reminded the students that the exhibits weren't to be touched. The teacher admitted this was the case, but she says that the black student only touched the exhibit because he saw a white student do it first. SURE
The teacher also complained that blacks don't feel comfortable in places like the museum because of all the "racism or a systemically racist legacy. Rooted in colonialism, encyclopedic museums have historically served as preservation tools from a white, western perspective."
The museum is twisting into contortions to apologize for the hoax, and to make sure 'minority' students feel welcomed at places like museums. They are also selling many art works by white males, and replacing them with art by 'minority' artists.

I'm going out on a limb here and call the whole incident a made-up, over-dramatization, self-pitying, hate-crime hoax and a bunch BS.

The teacher also said that the security guard seriously scrutinized the black kids, but did the white students.

She said guards seemed hyper-vigilant with her students, while seemingly lax with other groups of white students. A student who was briefly dancing to music playing inside the MFA’s "Gender Bending Fashion" exhibition later told Lamy she heard someone say “it’s a shame that she is not learning and instead stripping.”

Lamy said upon arrival at the museum, someone gave students an overview of the rules and told them “no food, no drink and no watermelon.” An individual online said it was a misunderstanding and that what they actually said was “no water bottles.”

    These are the "teachers".

You can imagine just what they are actually learning.

Fake news! The only real racism is against whites and Jews! Everyone else is just a whiner.

You forgot to mention following the rules. They seem to have a hard time with rules. Its raaaacist. Look at videos of them in majority 'minority' classrooms. These kids don't seem to have to follow the rules. Its 'minority' privilege imo.

I do not feel comfortable visiting inner cities. Instead of running to the media to report my discomfort in those areas, I have found it more expedient to simply not go into the inner city.

If this woman is repulsed by white people this much, perhaps she should simply refrain from visiting places with white people instead of rushing to the media to report her bias. Why exactly is this a news story?

Someone told an angry black woman's class "no water bottles".

She "somehow" heard that as "no watermelon".

You left out ‘white peoples existence’.

Let’s get real here, that is the heart of the real issue many of them have here.

Yup and I agree that false claims lead people to doubt real ones. But I’d rather believe a fake claim than call someone a liar when it really happened.

Can we all admit that the behavior of young teen African students inside a museum would be very different from young teen Chinese students?

(Statistically, in general, in a group)

When there are more problems, there has to be more rules.

Why is it unfair if that axiom is applied to a specific group but not to humanity at large?
Does it somehow become more fair if we discriminate against everybody rather than some people?
Is unfairness okay as long as it's equal unfairness?

You mean like with the #MeToo movement with hoards of opportunistic women gathering together and accusing wealthy famous powerful men?

Fair enough, not every claim of harassment or racism should be treated as true, but should be treated seriously as possible.

Calling someone a "cracker" can't be racist, because it refers to white people.
