So you are in favor of gun control? Controlling who has access to guns? In other words you feel some forms of gun control are acceptable?
I still disagree. Alaska has a 62% gun ownership rate and a 5.3/100K gun murder rate, Idaho has a 57% gun ownership rate but only 1.5/100K gun murder rate. Delaware has a 5% gun ownership rate and yet has a 5.5/100K gun death rate, Rhode Island has a 6% gun ownership rate and only .9/100K gun death rate. I am not seeing a pattern here. I don't feel the numbers support your claim. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_violence_in_the_United_States_by_state
In a word, yes. I have no problems with gun control so long it's by due process of law. If you have been shown beyond reasonable doubt that you are a danger to yourself or the public, your rights can be stripped.
If that crime was violent, you already shown lack of accountability and respecting other people's rights. You have shown to be a danger and a menace to society.
I have always been of the opinion that if "you are a danger to yourself or the public" you should be locked up. If dangerous persons are locked up then no need for gun control.
Well make up your mind. Are you saying everyone who commits a violent crime should get life in prison?
