It's also true that it wasn't Bubba Wallaces garage, it was at a track that assigns their garages to various competitor during their race. That garage was occupied by someone else a few days before.

Yes, I've never understood the point of hate crime laws. They're totally pointless. They're stupid, because they are all already crimes! Plus they're unfair. Someone shouldn't get more jail time for murdering someone out of hate than someone else who murders someone for another reason. MURDER IS MURDER! It's totally unjust to a murder victim's family if the killer gets less jail time than another killer who kills out of hate.

The keyword was "punished." That made me think that it was possible to be punished for targeting someone with a noose. It's definitely NOT possible, right?

Once again, if there is all this systemic racism why do the left keep making up instances?

Who occupied the garage a few days before?

I'm asking because I figure that guy must need a hug as well, he suffered the trauma silently.

    Agreed.

This is where we are today with possible convictions.

I believe the US is to the point now where anything is possible. We no longer have equal justice under the law. Some are even immune from rule of law. Lady Justice’s blindfold is nonexistent at this point. You summed it up nicely in your first paragraph above.

That's just not the case though is it. Or are you just giving your opinion of what a crime should be defined as?

NASCAR has been slowly losing fans. I think this was an effort to capitalize on current events. I almost hope it costs them fans.

So I guess the FBI are just a bunch of liars. They said it wasn't a noose.

Besides it's too small to be a hangman's nose. Maybe for like a cat or a possum.

Isn't it now clear that it was in fact a noose, given the picture which was released?

Well, the FBI said that it was "fashioned like a noose."

    Provide a link proving such.

And you do realize a noose can be pulled real small OR pulled to a bigger size. That’s kinda the whole point of a noose...it slides to the size needed. Amazing that had to be explained to you.

That is how it has been in the past. But things change. When “hate” is subjective, all it takes is a willing DA or justice department and a “woke” judge/jury.

There are some strange things afoot. Consider the charge of felony murder in the Rayshard Brooks killing. Historically, the concept of “merger” would apply and the charge would have to be murder or manslaughter if the DA is implying the independent felony is assault. Felony murder requires an independent felony like theft or arson. So what is the independent felony here? A hate crime? Either the DA is an idiot, wants the cop to walk, or a trial balloon is being floated to see if hate crime can be an independent felony used to prosecute felony murder. It’s a twisting of definitions and intent of existing law at best.

No. The FBI took a whole team there and was pissed off at how obviously it was not a noose intended to instill fear.

Yeah. They had to know with all their cameras that it was not a racist event, but played the race card because catering to Leftists is all that these massive entities do nowadays. It's insane. Lies don't matter anymore, as long as they are the "right lies". You even have evidence here as some of the drones still believe it was a noose to intimidate Bubba Wallace.
