It sure seems to me that the reason Trump gave up on the thing was the release of the actual birth certificate. He seemed to quit the overt birther screed out of salvaging a small amount of dignity.

What I've concluded all along is I think the BC is real, but at the same time marvel at the responses of Obama supporters. They way they instantly demonize all opposition suggests to me they're really not sure where Obama was born and want to suppress any dialog on the subject.
