While you focused on minorities, you drove right past the part where Kaepernick is referring to the world, as in abroad and using America's military for American imperialism in the non white world. He's not referring to this country, but he is referring to countries he will almost certainly never move to.

I'm still trying to figure out why everyone is in panic mode, as if there's absolutely no other possibility than going to war with Iran.

I guess what I'm actually trying to figure out is how much of it is opportunistic anti-Trump rhetoric, and how much is just literal fear of what Iran will do.

Iran released a list of "targets" and has told Iraqi's to stay at least 1000 yards away from US military outposts.

Trump does not desire war, but if Americans are harmed-he's not going to back down. This is a markedly different response than what you'd see from Obama or Carter.

If Iran pushes this, its going to be very hard for the leadership to be able to claim any ability to engage the USA.

It may be enough to destabilize the leadership endangering its rule in Iran.

 

I don't see them as a big bad bully. Sure, they can cause trouble, but they can never win on their own. The analogy posted was fairly poor.

Trump called off the drone downing retaliation mission at the last minute. He asked for the body count and the estimate was 150, so he cancelled the mission, feeling that 150 lives for an inanimate drone, although very expensive, was out of proportion.

The Iranian upper echelon must have figured he was weak and panty waste (it's always better to be very aggressive than to be soft), and that they need not further worry about the big stick he carries.

We can see now that Trump should have given the go on that mission, also.
