Birds can live to 20 years or more, ugly rats only can live for 3 years. large birds can live to 60 years old or more. dogs and cats only can live 20 years. why? anyone wants to discuss this
The average life of a Macaw in the wild is about 35 years - about the same for an uncivilized human. Macaws have been known to live beyond 100 years. Not that I think breast-feeding has anything to do with it. Probably one thing that birds have that most mammals don't is a beak that continues to grow throughout their lives and doesn't rot like teeth. One a wild human loses his teeth, he loses access to most forms of nutrition and becomes a huge burden on his family to care for. Some mammals have ever growing teeth, but those same mammals also tend to have very high metabolisms and live a relatively short life, similar to smaller birds who also have higher metabolisms.
I'm an uncivilized human and I'm 35 lol, you make me feel 90 lol.. IMO, I don't know what breast feeding has to do with this.....
When I was a kid I had a pet rat (from a store)...... It got huge - like the size of a ferret lol.. The Mexican family behind us had a pet raccoon my sister used to play with - now that is insane... It was pretty tame tho, but these animals still have teeth... I've had fish, turtles, snakes and of course dogs and cats...
Humans can live over a century. So can whales. Elephant can live 50 years or more in the wild, up to 80 in captivity. Your point?
