Can someone give me a reason why we should increase spending on the military?

Actually that isn't true. neutron bombs are still nuclear weapons with all the blast and heat that implies. Just the short term radiation pulse around them is considerably larger than the blast radius.

And I'm not going to assume the existence of biological weapons just because someone plans for them or someone might have them. Biologicals are considered extremely unreliable and unpredictable compared to any other type of weapon.

Drones will never be used in a major war the way you think.

So we can be capable of standing up to China when they invade our allies.

    I can.

We need to dramatically boost our arsenal if we are going to stand up to China when they invade our allies.

Neutron bombs leave plenty of rubble.

Because as Joe Biden says, "Printing money reduces inflation . . . "

No, they're not in spite of your bizarre re-definition.

Biological weapons are strictly virus and bacteria.

The problem with biological weapons has always been their limited scope and ineffective delivery largely due to lack of effective vectors.

Right? I mean for Saddam to have a chance to kill all 8 Million people in New York City, he would have needed 20,000 Goodyear Blimps, each carrying 10 tons of Anthrax and dump it on the city -- assuming wind was less than 5 knots on that day.

Mosquitoes, bats, flies, well, they don't work. I can't even remember the last time I got bit by a mosquito. It's been decades.

Anthrax spores can survive outside of a host, but the overwhelming majority of virus and bacteria cannot, so you can't just spray virus and bacteria out of a plane.

Other issues are the host usually dies or is otherwise incapacitated and doesn't infect a lot of people, and then there are effective interventions, like closing the borders and quarantining.

That's why things like "weaponized Ebola" are just scare-words to get people like you riled up.

Chemical weapons have similar issues. You just can't disperse the chemical over a wide enough area to have any real or lasting effect.

One of the main problems is other allies are not paying their part. It's almost like the US is defending the world. That gives them great influence, but comes at a (literal) cost.

Well, your entire post is nothing but nonsense, but I will start here.

No, somebody would not need "20,000 Goodyear blimps". Actually just a single one. And they do not even need to "kill 8 million people".

Have you been in a cave the last 2 years? How many people do you think entered the US with COVID? Maybe a dozen or so at most? That is how infectious diseases work. Get a handful infected, then they do your work for you and pass it along to others. In fact, the best thing you want is to not have a lot of fatalities. Having people sick for long term is better as it clogs up the emergency services of an area and not only increases the chances of it spreading, it takes much work to take care of a sick person than it does a corpse.

But your entire post screams that you really do not know what you are talking about, and just making things up.

Oh, and ebola is indeed a poor choice to weaponize. The incubation time and mortality is very high, which reduces the chance that it would spread. This is why most ebola breakouts tend to be in only a small area, and it burns itself out quickly. As opposed to COVID, which because of the low mortality keeps going and going and going.

    Q: Is Anthrax communicable/contagious?
    A: No.

When you learn the difference between diseases that are communicable and those that are not, you will come to understand that it is your post that is nonsense.

In case you don't get it, I'll let your own CDC explain it to you:

Anthrax can cause severe illness in both humans and animals. Anthrax is not contagious, which means you can't catch it from another person like the cold or flu.

    [emphasis in original]

You cannot catch Anthrax from another person, unless you happen to be a cannibal and eat that person.

That means your COVID rant is nonsense.

If you have issues with the CDC, here's another source:

Can anthrax be spread person to person?

Inhalation (lung) anthrax is not spread from person to person. Even if you develop symptoms of inhalation anthrax, you are not contagious to other persons.

    [emphasis in original]

    https://www.health.ny.gov › anthrax › fact_sheet

So....you stand corrected. Saddam would need 20,000 Goodyear Blimps each carrying 10 tons of Anthrax in order to have any chance of killing all 8 Million people in New York City.

Your government spent a lotta money training me in nuclear, chemical and biological warfare.

It requires a certain quantity of Anthrax in ounces to have a chance to infect a single person. That's only a chance to infect, not a guarantee of infection, and certainly not a guarantee of death.

The only way to possibly do that is to dust NYC like a snowfall of Anthrax.

Even then, if 1 Million out of 8 Million got infected, it would be a banner day, and probably few, if any, of the 1 Million would actually die.

I phrased it -- 20,000 Hindenburgs each with 10 tons of Anthrax -- to show the absurdity of it all and to point out why biological weapons fail.

Even so, when the Lame Stream Media screams "Anthrax" that knee starts jerking on the majority of people (and for no good reason.)

COVID still fails as a biological weapon.

The whole point of NBC warfare is to destroy an aggressor's means to wage war.

You don't have to kill soldiers on the battlefield, you just have stop the War Machine.

If soldiers don't have beans, bullets and band-aids provided by the War Machine, the only thing they'll be doing is waving the white flag.

Chemical weapons can never be dispersed over a wide-enough area to have any impact on the War Machine.

Same problem with biological weapons. COVID killed the elderly and those with health problems who were probably sitting around collecting Social Security Disability, and neither were part of the War Machine so the effect is nil.

That's why nuclear weapons are best.

The radiation is a nothing-burger and the heat is incidental. It's the blast effect you want -- the over-pressure -- and so long as the over-pressure is 2 psi or greater you're good to go.

That's why a 750 kt, 900 kt or 1 mt warhead you detonate at 25-35 miles up in the sky to get at least 2 psi to cover the widest possible area in square miles (or kilometers for the weirdos.)

Manufacturing and manufacturing-support are destroyed/damaged, infrastructure is destroyed/damaged and worker bees are killed/maimed.

What's the War Machine producing now? Nothing.

It is not airborne, true. Which reduces the risk. However, it does cause rashes and open sores on the victim which can spread it through physical contact. Also the spores that fall on a person can be spread to others. If I get dusted with anthrax spores, that means anybody after that I brush against can get it. And my family when I get home, and whoever does my laundry then gets exposed.

So no, what I posted is not nonsense. You are looking at it the wrong way. Any contact with the spores can spread the disease. What, you think if you get exposed all the spores just magically leap into your lungs and can not affect anybody else? That they do not linger in the area for weeks?

So, now you're saying New Yorkers spend the live-long day into the wee hours doing the Tango with as many people as possible.

It is nonsense, because if 20,000 Goodyear Blimps each dumped 10 tons of Anthrax on NYC, a whole 5 people might actually get infected.

Anthrax is hardly a biological weapon, in spite of what the Pundidiots claim.

Now you're saying NYC is a desert where it only rains once a year and there's no wind.

Have you never seen New York during "rush hour"?

I have taken the LA subway system during rush hours, and it is just as bad. It is impossible to go to and from work without brushing against dozens of people.

And please, let me know what give you the expertise of making this statement. Because so far you are only showing repeatedly that you do not know what you are talking about.

What, you think rain and wind kills it? It is a spore, and will linger in a place for decades. That is why it is such a good biological weapon. It is the very fact that it lingers that makes it perfect as an area denial weapon.

This is something I studied and trained for for decades. What exactly is your experience in biological warfare? Or even pandemics, because what we have been going through for the last two years I actually predicted over a decade ago. To the laughter of a great many that thought I was crazy, and global pandemics were a thing of the past.

There are some gaps in our capabilities. Right now with roughly 20 stealth bombers we will not be able to wage a high intensity bombing campaign throughout China. We are going to need a lot more stealth bombers in order to seriously pummel Chinese infrastructure.

Also, some of our existing weapons are old and getting worn out. It is time to replace them with fresh weapons.

We want more than just 2 psi. That would serve for seriously damaging houses, but 10 to 12 psi is much better for smashing up factories.
