Serving your customers and meeting their needs. What do you think is the purpose of government?

Yeah but trump actually wants to get things done. Like... in a timely manner.... a day or so LOL.

You guys are just getting silly. You wont even give him credit for banning lobbyists who are the most vile despicable vermin in DC. They are the corporations for cripes sake.

Of course I give credit, but the job isn't done yet. I want to get things done too, just that government and business have vastly different interests.

Are citizens of a nation "customers" to you? The purpose of government is to represent and protect its people.

I think you fellas and your government have done enough the last 30 years or so. Time to turn it around before it gets turned into a complete hellhole. If you need evidence look at our debt and economy.

you can protest though. Honey badger dont care. Honey badger just does what he wants LOL.

not anymore. now the purpose is to extort its people and liquidate them of their future and identity.

Trumps trying to change that. So far he is kicking tail and taking names. Team Trump is just what a lot of us thought it would be. A giant wrecking ball just clearing the way for the people. excellent Job.

    best president ever Donald Trump.

Trump hit the nail on the head when he spoke about a Washington clique that has prospered for too long at the people's expense.

    Who are my fellas?

    - - - Updated - - -

That's right, the people, not corporate interests. The peoples business and the corporate business CANNOT be more opposed.

    - - - Updated - - -

Bernie also spoke about this and was railroaded by the DNC.

They aren't serving their corporation. That would be illegal and very obvious, no one would stand for it. However, there were Democrat/Republican party bureaucracrats serving themselves for years and many supporters didn't care. It's in the best interests of corporations to have citizens with money to spend rather than being in debt to their government. Common sense. Corporations aren't the demon. Out of control repressive bloated government is the demon. Government has become the ruler instead of the servant. Time to get back to basics.

Very, very oversimplified answer. I agree with you when you say bureaucrats are a huge problem. I also agree with you that more cash in people's pockets will spur economic growth.

Where we disagree is in the substance. Take Trump's labor nominee....the man built a career out of supplying cheap food made on sub standard wages. He got rich, his company got rich, the public got sick, and the employees needed public benefits to make ends meet. What's wrong with this picture?

Don't do business with him. I believe in free market. If you don't like your job, find one you like.

This time, respond like you know this will be the Labor Secretary if confirmed, and will set labor standards for the entire country. He is now in government, not business.

People chose to buy his product. Free market. Simple stuff here. He's exactly the guy I want to work with. Perhaps I can learn how to gain some wealth and not be dependent on government to feed and house me.

When wages have been suppressed for 30-40 years, you actually believe consumers have full choices? I don't think so. He will tell you to start a business, buy the cheapest materials, sell for profit, and pay your employees as little as possible. Is that what makes a country great to you?

He has to do what he has to do to be successful. I'm thinking he now knows what needs to be done to remove barriers that caused him to buy low and pay low. He isn't the guy that caused "repressive" wages. You're making my case.

That's the point, he doesn't want to remove those barriers, because if he did, he would have less profit. Capitalism is a game of how much can I get for the least amount of work.

I don't buy that. Trump wants deregulation. That's what eats into profit and cost. I take it you're a socialist?

Could we invite Ms. Brown here to PoliticalForum.com so she could tell all the white liberals they need to shut up?

The chair of the DNC should be Lindsey Graham with John McCain as co-chair. They continue to be two of the strongest supporters of the Democrats and strongest adversaries to the Republican President.

Hey, keep it in mind that these are modern Democrats and so such an option is ALWAYS on the table and just a hysterical lockstep-vote away.

You would rather career bureaucrats or academics with no real world experience in the field they would have so much power over?

Did you feel the same way about Obama selecting a treasury secretary that wasn't capable of figuring out turbo tax software?

Also, this living wage BS has to stop. If you are trying to live on your own with a minimum wage job, your mistakes in life and frequent and abundant. Stop looking for others to finance your bad decision making.

People who understand the issues are preferable of course. I don't care where they come from as long as they are not out to destroy, as the labor sec nominee is set on doing. If one works 40 hours a week, they deserve the middle class american dream. How dare you question people's lives that you know nothing about.

Working 40 hours a week flipping burgers at McDonalds gets you the wages you deserve. If you want more, you need to strive for more.

An adult working for minimum wages answers my questions about their life choices.
