I don't think we have eight years to waste on either Trump or Sanders, and it is indeed a waste on Trump and would be a waste on Sanders.

We need to spend more, private and public, on R&D, infrastructure that improves growth, and worker training. We need to cut investment in non-producing assets like residential housing and hog vehicles. We need to shift spending away from personal consumption (no more personal tax cuts, especially for the top 1% whose incomes start at $420,000) to savings and investment. We will not get sustained higher growth without moving in the aforementioned direction.

He could do what I suggested above and I would consider supporting him (some of his other actions are unacceptable). Sanders won't get my support, either, because he isn't proposing higher growth policies.
