States control their own ballot requirements. We had this discussion when Birthers were trying to put new ballot requirements in places like AZ to exclude Obama.

You have two choices- either argue that there should be a Federal law requiring the States do more(I want to see the right argue this....though it would be the best way to achieve this)-

Or go to each state and have them change their laws.

Personally, I am all for a candidate for any office having to provide evidence of eligiblity. Just so long as the evidence demanded is real evidence and not some nutball list of documents such as circumcision records.

For President, a certified copy of Birth certificate, for age and NBC status and some proof of residency for 14 years- I was starting to say mortgage or rent payments- but frankly I am not sure how I would establish I was living here for 14 years. I don't keep my bills going back that far.

Just read what the Birthers were saying to the board. Calling them traitors if they didn't do what the Birthers demanded. This is what Birthers do.

 

South Carolina is a lovely state. Too hot in the summer, to humid in the summer, but one of my favorite places in the whole U.S.

As state election officials yesterday rejected California lawyer Orly Taitz's argument to keep President Obama's name off the New Hampshire presidential ballot, supporters lining the hearing room in the Legislative Office Building cried out in protest.

"Traitors!" shouted one woman. "Spineless traitors!"

"Saying a treasonous liar can go on our ballot?" yelled State Rep. Harry Accornero, a Republican from Laconia. "You're going to have to face the citizens of Laconia. You better wear a mask."

Once again, Birthers show their anger when government officials insist on following the law, rather than just do what Birthers tell them to do.

I have only seen about 1/2 of the US states, and only lived for more than a couple of months in 4 of them (California, Pennsylvania, Colorado. . .and South Carolina). But I can say that I enjoyed living in ANY of the other three more than in South Carolina.

As I said. .South Carolina is a nice place to visit!

Friday, November 18, 2011, has come and gone and Barack Obama is still on the New Hampshire ballot according to William M. Gardner, the Secretary of State for New Hampshire. This thread is being moved to the Conspiracy Forums where it belongs as the citizenship of Barack Obama has already been determined by the State of Hawaii which has sole authority for determining his citizenship.

It is offical Forum Business based upon the facts established by US law and the US Constitution. We, the moderators of Political Forum, allowed discussions of President Obama's citizenship on forums other than under the Conspiracy forums until it was firmly established when a copy of the so-called "long form" birth certificate was provided for by the State of Hawaii and that it's authenticity was established by the Hawaii Dept of Health that keeps the birth records for those born in Hawaii. All State must accept the offical birth records of the State of Hawaii under the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the US Constitution. The fact that Barack Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States has been established beyond any legal doubt.

Of note Barack Obama's Social Security number has no bearing on his eligibility for the office of president.

In other words, even if the so called "birther" news will appear in nationally recognized media from time to time, they'll be automatically moved here into conspiracy section, even though media would consider them to be "current news"?
