    After communist China began enforcing a “zero-Covid” policy, reinstituting the most onerous “safety” restrictions in the country since the manufactured pandemic began more than two years ago, Chinese citizens are desperate for food and other basic necessities to the point where many of them are killing themselves.

    As the world focuses on the atrocities happening in Ukraine, there is another genocide taking place that is pretty much being ignored. The world has lost it's proverbial mind!

    Do you think this kind of policy could ever take hold in this nation or is there enough people that would stand against the government?

    It's not the entire country, it is Shanghai right now, maybe a few other cities as well. It is part of the "zero Covid" death policy of the CCP. and this lockdown will test that policy of theirs.

    I seriously doubt she was communist. The CCP has, maybe, 100 million members out of the country with a population of 1.4 billion.

    No because the second amendment will insure the individual the right to survival. But with blue haired authoritarians in power...who the hell knows if they would try?

    Considering I married a Chinese person, I can assure you that most are not members of the CCP. Of all of her family members, only one is a member and she is a great aunt who happens to be a judge in the CCP judicial system. All the others are not. And yes, you can tell most of the time who is and who is not.

    I seriously doubt it will be because of the 2nd admendment. There is literally no political will to do so right now nor will there be even if a variant came in and overwhelmed the health care system in a week.

    Yet none of the Googled articles you posted discusses the suicides taking place like in the OP. There are people jumping to their deaths and other forms of suicide due to no food.

    Tucker Carlson did his opening on it the other night......but a WHOLE different slant. He called Shanghai the "largest prison in the world". According to our hero, the Chinese don't give a crap about covid, they don't like that Shanghai is wealthy and (according to him) too liberal. They need a smack down. sigh
