Jesus Christ did not come to abolish the OT (law) or the prophets, he came to fulfill them. The 10 commandments will always be that of God's laws, same with the old laws, with one exception, "let him without sin cast the first stone." Meaning the old laws are still applicable. It's just nobody is without sin, thus do not judge one another. And if one must judge, judge with righteousness. Meaning don't judge someone in a way, that you would not want to be judged. "The fear of the Lord, is the beginning of wisdom."
Most scholars think the story of the woman taken in adultery was a late addition to the gospel because it isn't in the earlier Greek writings.
Man punished themselves for disobeying God, and eating from the tree of knowledge. For with that surely came death, and without it man walked with God in the garden. This is where most non-believers or those on the edge lose all faith. The non-understanding of God's kingdom leaves one in nothing but wonder. As to your question, when releasing satan into the minds of man, God knew with this knowledge what man would do and how they would easily be deceived. For not even Gabriel could defeat satan. They would desire all the abominations of satan, which leads to a death of no return (judgment and second death). But before that it leads to all wickedness, wars, murder, rape, slavery, lies, deceptions, etc etc. Anything ungodly, or anything without love. In my opinion, our individual unique journeys in life, prove God. For no life is the same, and no master or evil can take away ones faith in God. Anything else can be taken from you, property, materials, family, friends, etc. But faith in God is in the conscience (soul), it is eternal because nothing can take it away. This life after Christ, is simply preparing us for the kingdom, if one so chooses to go. I guess it's not so much a choice as it is Love. And what's better than Love? 2 Timothy 3 King James Version (KJV) 3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
The Infancy Gospel of Thomas Introduction The older testimonies about this book have been given already. I now present the three principal forms of it, as given by Tischendorf: two Greek texts, A and B, and one Latin. The few Greek manuscripts are all late. The earliest authorities are a much abbreviated Syriac version of which the manuscript is of the sixth century, and a Latin palimpsest at Vienna of the fifth or sixth century, which has never been deciphered in full. The Latin version translated here is found in more manuscripts than the Greek; none of them, I think, is earlier than the thirteenth century. It is written that in the last days a falling away would occur. What you speak of here, is the falling away. As to Christian priests teaching a false word of God. The rapture is a perfect example, for it says that any man who adds or takes away the words of this book, shall receive the plagues therein. Rapture is found nowhere in the Bible, "nowhere". That would also require Jesus to come not twice, but three times. Most scholars think the pope is a good man a righteous man. He claims to be Christ, he claims to have the power to forgive sins, he has changed the times (calendar) and law's (10 commandments) in concert with Rome, he claims to have power over all souls of the world, he claims to have power to interpret or change the word of God. "Do not be deceived by any means, for many shall come in my name claiming they are Christ, and shall deceive many." What religion has more followers than Catholicism, who the only spokesman thereof is the pope who claims to be Christ. And indeed is deceiving many (billions). This church is the mother of harlots (mother of all churches), and all nations and tongues will sip from the wine of her fornications and delicacies. The Vatican is the most richest organization in the world, with it's vast amount of gold, silver, precious stones, relics, history's lost writings and truth, and so much more. "A camel has a better chance walking through the eye of a needle, than a rich man does getting to heaven." It's safe to say where the pope is going. How can a man of Christ with so many riches, allow for starving and thirsting by the millions every year, a death in which there is nothing worse. For starving and thirsting can take weeks with tremendous suffering, for disease starts to set in. Jesus helped the poor, the sick, the less unfortunate, the faithless, and all without money. He gave to their souls, enlightenment, knowledge of truth, love, and security. The pope does the exact opposite, and simply brushes away cases of pedophilia. He has without a doubt, "deceived many".
Definition of righteous 1 : acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin 2 a : morally right or justifiable <a righteous decision> b : arising from an outraged sense of justice or morality <righteous indignation> 3 slang : genuine, excellent https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/righteous Since no one per the christian belief should be free from guilt or sin, there in not a righteous Christian alive. So no christian should be judging another.
For crying out loud. Another diatribe about THE Pope. Every Pope has been different. This current Pope has been on the side of the poor in his native land. HE is not rich. The Chruch is. HE is not responsible for much of what goes on. He has a conclave he has to be accountable to, and consult with. The Pope is claimed to be the Vicar of Christ - his representative on earth - not Christ. He can speak 'Ex Cathedra' (Infallibly) they say. God had sent Jesus to forgive sins, but after his resurrection Jesus told the apostles, "‘As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained’" (John 20:21–23). He doesn't claim to have power over all the souls of the world. And many other Christians and non Christians are able to interpret the word of God. I don't believe any of it
You realize we are in agreement. No man is sinless, the only thing Christians can do, is try their very best to walk in righteousness, knowing they fall short yet continue the battle. From this God sees what is in the persons heart. And blesses them not with what they want, but what they need when they need it. "Judge not, lest yea first walk in their shoes". No man or woman's life is the same, one can never walk in someone else shoes, for that also requires the same thoughts. "If you must judge, judge with righteousness." Admittedly extremely hard to do. No man is free from guilt or sin, for with sin comes guilt. And we all sin (we all fall short of the glory of God). There are many ways of judgment, such as ones reputation (miniscule), or that of a murderer. Meaning well this person did or said that so we will label them as this and treat them like that, which can result in many outcomes such as suicide. Judging a murderer requires absolute certainty they are the murderer. Otherwise judgment is false, and the blood shall be on the hands of the judge. Those in high places are also held with higher standards as to God's judgment upon them. While we hate murder (rightfully so), kings and queens do it by the thousands or millions. And judges let people off that have interest to them. They most certainly have "their reward". Although wars and mass murder is blamed on God, it is nobody but man that dives into such evil behavior. For if God blesses a nation with rich lands, resources, food and water, and that nation does abandoned God, he simply gives them what they want and removes Himself from them. Thus destruction and evil fills the void. Not God doing it, rather allowing man/nation what they want.
We have been in the last days since Pentecost. in Rev. 11:8 Jerusalem is named 'spiritually' as Sodom." 'Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth' and Jerusalem is "Babylon".
Most common Protestant listing: Thou shalt have no other gods before me Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy Honour thy father and thy mother Thou shalt not kill Thou shalt not commit adultery Thou shalt not steal Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour Thou shalt not covet Latin Catholic listing: Thou shalt not have other gods besides Me Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain Remember to keep holy the Lord’s day Honor thy father and thy mother Thou shalt not murder Thou shalt not commit adultery Thou shalt not steal Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods In the Vaticans 10 commandments both 9 and 10 are that of the same. And they took out the graven images, I wonder why? So they take one out, and make one into two. They also changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, even thou one of the commandments says to, "Remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy". Remember the Sabbath, and keep it Holy. There are vasts amount of evil the Vatican is guilty of. Now I am not saying there are no good people within Catholicism, for many have done many wonderful works. However most are deceived, for they don't even know when the Sabbath is, thus can't remember or keep it Holy. The fault lies on the Vatican, for this is what it teaches. People call the pope holy father, Jesus told us to call no man father for there is only one father. The context around it implies specifically when speaking about teachers of the word. For one can absolutely call their dad, "father". Thou shall honor thy father and thy mother. But to call a priest or man of the cloth, "holy father", is absolute blasphemy. http://www.cuttingedge.org/articles/rc129.htm http://www.sabbathtruth.com/free-re...6/catholic-church-admits-they-made-the-change http://churchandstate.org.uk/2015/11/vatican-power-over-governments/ http://www.newstatesman.com/law-and-reform/2010/09/vatican-rights-state-italy http://amazingdiscoveries.org/S-deception-Sabbath_Sunday_Catholic_Church
Are we? You said only the righteous can judge others. Meaning anyone who sins should never judge another for their sin(s). If you agree, great, we are in agreement. Most christians think they have the right to judge others sins. Especially if one is of the LGBT group. Maybe you should spread this news to your brethren. There's a few here who like to talk down the LGBT group. Some live the adulterous lifestyle. And when told they're hypocrites, bring out this righteous crud.
Put is simply. They are all wrong. To follow any of them is following man's interpretation of what God might have intended.
Galatians does not "correct" Acts, the 2 complement each other. Galatians is not a complete timeline of Pauls activities, its purpose is to convince the Galatians that Paul teaches the true Word and is fully compatible with the original Apostles. Paul lists his original trip to Jerusalem and his contact with the Apostles, and then his second meeting with the Apostles 14 years later to show that he has been vetted by the leaders of the church. Paul was converted on the Road to Damascus, he spent 3 years learning (presumably being taught by the Risen Christ), then he went to Jerusalem to meet with some of the Apostles, and did not return to Jerusalem for 14 years. In that 14 years, he was actively preaching. Paul did not meet Luke until Paul visits Troas for medical help (from Dr. Luke) during the second missionary journey, and then Luke was with Paul as his biographer, assistant, friend, and physician until Pauls death. Paul ended up in Troas after traveling through Galatia. With constant contact with Paul and access to all the Apostles and church leaders, its unbelievable that the author of Luke and Acts (Luke) would contradict Pauls own epistle to the Galatians (Luke likely knew of all of Pauls letters). The Bible, particularly the New Testament, is not a compendium of 66 individual books, but has to be viewed as a single unified story told in 66 chapters.
The first and most basic difference is in the expectation of the Messiah. The Jews expected an anointed warrior king, like David.. Christians came a long and argued that the "suffering servant" was Jesus NOT Israel. That is further complicated by literalism and fundamentalism and Cyrus Scofield.. Dispensationalism...
So who shall we believe, Jesus the son of God or a ragbag assortment of atheistic "historians and secular scholars"? Hmm..that's a toughie.. PS- Anyway if Jesus was sent purely to save the Jews, he failed miserably because they killed him and still reject him to this day, so his whole mission would have been a waste of time wouldn't it?
Sounds he are Roman Catholic in his mountain. I am Jesus Christ believer or only once atheist or there is nothing believe on earth if is true there is no real Gods how exist.
Read your bible.. There is no question that Jesus came only for the Jews. Paul spread it to the Gentiles.
Jesus was crystal clear when he said- "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations" (Matt 24:14) "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." (Mark 16:15) "Wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.” (Matt 26:13) "I did not come to judge the world but to save it" .(John 12:47)
As he already set up a church earlier (Gal. 4:11) and they must have accepted him, it's a bit late to present his credentials. We don't know which city/cities it was in Galatia. They were so far apart, is it possible they were all going astray? .We don't know when Paul wrote the Gospel. Did Luke know of the letters? He doesn't mention them. The Galatians weren't the only ones in trouble. Where does it say that Paul went to Troas for medical help from Luke? How did Paul know about him? They came to Mysia, an area, and wanted to go North East to Bithynia. Instead they were 'led' to Macedonia. The nearest port was Troas. The Bible is 2 separate scriptures. One Jewish. The other Christian.
Well. god made a mistake. I'll bet there are multitudes on the earth that don't find her particularly beautiful and neither do I. Physical attributes are only part of beauty.
Does it really matter. The ten commandments were adapted from earlier religions/civilisations anyway, who practised all except the Monotheistic 1st commandment. Many nations even giving people a seventh day off - not necessarily for religious purposes.
