I am fairly certain that the elites and power-hungry, money-hungry leaders around the world are not that concerned about changing weather patterns themselves, but what schemes they can come up with to gain more control and money.

Guess what? After we are long gone, the climate will still fluctuate. Nothing is happening today to warrant an alarmist attitude.

No matter what happens to the climate as it changes, and change it will whether it is colder or warmer, economic costs will rise no matter what because of more development on the edges where volatile weather is the most prevalent. We are lucky right now because were have had fewer hurricanes and tornadoes but anytime we have one, it will cause more damage than 100 or even 50 years ago.

 

For instance, when Milankovitch cycles cause glacial Earth, to warm, and perennial ice melts, naturally, such as happened regularly, in 100K-year cycles, during the current, Quaternary Ice Age, trapped CO2 bubbles and frozen CH4 clathrates melt and evaporate, to trigger the usual, dramatic warmup, whereby CO2 goes, from 180 ppm, to 280 ppm, and surface temperatures warm, to cause an interglacial period, such as the waning Holocene Epoch, today.

This process involves algae and bacteria, which grow, in perennial ice deposits. But when that ice melts, look out.

The warmup is then under way. We won't be cooling, to return, to glaciation, sorry. There's a greenhouse effect, ongoing.

 

This is true. If we want to shield ourselves from mother nature economically, we should only live in bamboo huts.

 

Instead of using our intelligence to try and do something that will only cost society more (and be unsuccessful), that is try to turn earth into a one temperature room, it should be used to do something we are actually good at and that is to adapt. The Earth is warming up, both surface air temperatures and ocean temperatures are rising, ice is melting almost everywhere, permafrost is melting all around the Arctic Circle, sea levels are rising......the only "wave form going down" is your intelligence/comprehension index.

 

Wrong, wrong and wrong. And you aren't even following along. Sea ice is already volume added to the sea levels so that melting, which it isn't, but it melting adds zero mm to the sea level. Another class lesson.

The "firemen" are the climate scientists and they didn't need to "see a show" to be able to warn you about the crisis you're facing. They are the ones with the ability and competence to be able to actually "go and see" if the "house is on fire" (the Earth is warming).
