    He doesn't have to call on them, but he doesn't need to ban them either.
    Only giving news sources you like and will print what you want them to print is bordering on dictatorship.

    CNN, NY Times, LA Times have press credentials in the White House.

    they are two of the largest media companies in the USA. The NY Times has been considered the newspaper of record for the USA for more than 150 years.

    there is no excuse for banning them from a press conference.

    They show enough of Smith to kind of keep in touch with him. When I paid one heck of a lot of money to have TV live, I did pay for FOX. It was getting so I spent more on TV than food and car fuel combined.

    I watched Smith virtually try to destroy George Bush when Katrina was ongoing. I then realized he was not honest.

    His report should have stated that the job of FEMA was last in. First a city rushes help. Second the state shows up. Last is FEMA. He could have pointed out that as famous as FEMA is, of all agencies they seem like the smallest of all with maybe 2500 workers nationwide dealing with all 50 states. And that they do not fix things, they spend money.

    But he went off as if Bush was not minding the store.
