90million people pay about a dollar per month for access to CNN. Nowhere near that many watch it. If you have cable or satellite TV, you're paying them.

Well, I think it's more that the issues he's pushed since being elected just are not popular. He tried to get gop senators to cut their state's Medicaid, and as the Obama dems (and Reagan) warned …. cutting middle class entitlements isn't popular. Trump campaigned on everyone getting BETTER HC, not LESS HC. LOL

The one thing he's gotten are two tax cuts for the .1% that are generally unpopular, and he ran on middle class tax relief.

HIS ONLY issue is immigration - legal and illegal. And he knew early on that - no Wall no reelection. He tried trading DACA for the Wall, but Coulter said NO. So he's left with trying to show his base he's "fighting" for their wall too keep out the brown hordes. Even though odds are the courts will not let him reappropriate money, and he'd never get a final decision until his tax records are disclosed, and even then … good luck with the condemnations and compensation to individuals.

For anti-Trumpers …. there's no news. He's not getting kicked out of the WH, and his tweets are entertainment aimed at white people who feel disenfranchised. His base apparently finds that hugely entertaining.

The people my wife and I know just have online news subscriptions. And there's 5 free a month from others, with the Week Atlantic Nation all free online. Cnn and Msnbc are boring.

And Netflix is awesome. LOL Barry's great. Bad Blood looks good. Got Fosse/Virdon on demand. And the odd book. (-:

CNN Ratings Crash Further in May - MSNBC Down Big Too!

I used to watch the news every day...I wanted to know what is happening in the world so I did quite a bit of research and paid close attention. I admit that Trump has done what he set out to do and burned me out to the point I no longer care. I now only watch local to see what is happening because I simply do not want to know the details of what is happening here and have lost all respect for the United States government at this point....I will start paying attention again a month before I vote or when we go to war.

 

I am amazed that Trump's Dwindling Number of "Supporters" continue to back that Draft-Dodging, America-Hating, Snowflake.

The only group that seems to be obsessed with their ratings is the RW, nobody else even cares.

As I said - stupid crap gets reported. Real Presidents shrug it off. Drama Queen Presidents like Trump freak out and have to bark back at every other dog on the block.

 

All politicians are pompous, and Trump is the worst of them. I care about policy though and on that front, I have a hard time disagreeing with Trump.

I suggest you read about how Nielsen responds to payoffs and adjusts the ratings accordingly.The Indian government sued them a few years ago for rigging India's Tv ratings.

This is why networks want to be on the basic tiers and not the tiers you pay extra for - they get money from every subscriber. The last I saw, which was several years ago, Fox Sports West was charging $2 per sub and Fox Sports West II was also charging $2 a sub. One channel carried the Dodgers, Clippers and Ducks, and the other carried the Angels, Lakers and Kings. But I believe Fox was on a voluntary extra tier you didn't have to pay for if you didn't want it.

 

Fox CNN and MSNBC are all part of the basic cable package usually.

 

It says a lot about the Trumpster mind, that it gives equal weight to the most inconsequential, and old stories.

I have been saying that for a while now. These media outlets should not be owned by huge conglomerates allowing them not to honest and just propaganda arms as they have no consequences.

In a real Free Market / Free Press CNN would have fired Zucker and almost their entire line up. Hell, I could fix that network in 3 months and have it competitive as could any competent person.
